BAD MANAGEMENT, POOR BENEFITS, 2-YEAR BOND WITHOUT PROPER TRAINING
The good thingsThe entire software engineering department was excellent. From the Manager to the CTO, everyone was kind, supportive, and great to work with. Unfortunately, all of them are no longer with Realcognita.
The challengesManagement has always been the main issue. The leadership approach feels outdated, and many processes remain old-school and resistant to improvement. A 2-year bond with no proper training. If you can’t give training besides Coursera videos, let the employee leave.

Not a company I would recommend for long term.
The good thingsA training ground for gaining experience in Australian standards.
The challengesLow starting salary and minimal salary increases. They only show real interest in giving you a proper raise when you’re about to resign.

This is the first company that I stayed for a year due to the healthy working environment, work-life balance, people around are very friendly, and I learn a lot from my Manager and Superiors.
The good thingsThe best work life balance. Managers and clients are very friendly, approachable and will give you best insights in your work. You'll learn a lot from them.
The challengesThe salary is not that competitive based in other outsourcing company.

    Good office environment
The good thingsThe working environment is friendly and also has a monthly Puregold supply and upgraded HMO on Day 1. We have opportunities to learn new software like Archicad and Revit.
The challengesWe occasionally have to work on holidays. However, it all relies on the job's estimated time of arrival.

The good part: - We still have work during pandemic. - Has monthly supplies like coffee and biscuits. The BAD side: The upper management itself. - they will not listen to your sentiments and comments. They will just hear you but no actions - HR does not even know job/worker laws and SSS/HDMF benefits for the employees. Especially during the times of pandemic. They even just sanitized the office for half day when someone will get positive then go back to work on site right after. But the upper management is not even there present in the office lol - they will hire for the vacant upper positions like managers instead of lifting up the employees - they will raise salaries only of the ones who like them. The "sipsip" and the loyals. - they will only say thank you if the client praised your job but NO INCENTIVES, no benefits. But once you get a bad comment from client, all your good deeds vanished.
The good thingsIf you are lucky to be in the nice team/department, that's the good part of this company.
The challengesThe upper management itself. Has favoritism. - low salary - poor HR knowledge

Low salary, once a year increase and no appreciation for their employees esp. Quantity Surveyor Manager - seems inexperienced and pretty much lacking a lot of leadership. Lack of involvement on the employees so the manager doesn’t have an Idea on how the employees are performing, solely based on the TL feedback in short NO INITIATIVE. QS Manager will fail you for sure and most of the employees just finish their 2 year bond because I see that with that kind of manager, you will definitely be stagnant and no room for growth. When asked- the manager will just say “No” or “Yes” & as the manager doesn’t have initiative to act on your concerns, you’ll feel neglected. MANAGER should know how to MANAGE their people but QS Manager doesn’t know a thing about management on my experience. SELECTIVE on how she interacted with when a manager should interact and know the relationships of their team. Low salary and bad management is the worst combination
The good thingsWork life balance and colleagues
The challengesLow Salary, Bad Management. Seems like they don’t care about their employees where they should take care of them because they are the money maker. Resumé wise it’s an “okay” experience, work experience as an employee wise, not so good.

Learned some new skills in this company, so I would say it is still an okay experience but I wouldn't recommend this to those with experience already. They have a 2 years bond so I think you might consider that too before you apply.
The good thingsMy colleagues and also the fact that you're really disconnected to your job afterwork.
The challengesThe biggest would be the management specially the one managing the Quantity Suveyor. Very toxic management. - Low and unfair salary increase. You'll get a lower increase even if you performed really well. - Gaslighting. Doesn't give credence to your feelings. - You can't use vacation leave in your vacations. Minimum no. of leaves as per our law and will be alloted to the 2 weeks company shutdown. You can't basically use them. - Their mindset for benefits and perks is "Take it or leave it". They fail to consider diverse perspective and ideas. - Favoritism and would say unprofessional remarks degrading and belittling quantity surveyors. - Unwilling to help or support a team. Overload of jobs with less people in a team. - Manager is not effective. Micromanages. Avoids conflicts and responsibilities. Poor listening skills and lack of empathy. - Low Salary and unacceptably low salary increase ONCE a year.

Overall, this is engaging and provides valuable learning experiences.
The good thingsThis suits individuals who enjoy drafting and production of architectural drawings, particularly those skilled in architectural softwares such as Revit, Archicad or Autocad. It offers wide variety of opportunity to explore and gain experience with Australian drafting and construction standards.
The challengesJob difficulty varies from each client and teams

At first I though it would be a challenge adjusting but the management and my team made sure that I feel welcomed. Collaboration and team playing is highly regarded. respecting everyone. Work-Life balance is being promoted.
The good thingsNo Politics!, Management is currently making adjustments and improvements regarding employee employment well being, benefits, HMO, Leaves and a lot more.
The challengesOnsite/officebase. Sometimes it is exhausting dealing with the traffic given that the office is in BGC.

The good thingsI think this company is recommended for those who seek experience with Australian clients but never expect career development or a reasonable salary increase.
The challengesPoor management and not a people-oriented company. (Note: there is 2 year contract bond)

    Exhausting environment
The good thingsYour colleagues. It's reallt a team work. But also depends on your manager
The challengesThe management itself they are not fair in giving salary increase and their admins are the worst, they didn't know even a single labor law.
