    A valuable and hands-on game development internship experience with a supportive team.
    The good thingsI really enjoyed my internship at Purple Bug Inc. because of the supportive and friendly team environment. I was able to gain hands-on experience in game development, especially working on real projects which helped me improve my skills. I also appreciated how approachable everyone was, making it easier to ask questions and learn throughout the internship.
    The challengesOne challenge I experienced was adjusting to new tools and workflows at the beginning, especially since game development involves both technical and creative problem-solving. There were also times when tasks became a bit overwhelming, particularly when working on multiple features or deadlines. Improving onboarding or providing more structured guidance at the start could make the transition smoother for future interns.

To improve, PurpleBug could consider streamlining the process for recording work hours or providing clearer guidelines so interns can track their time more reliably.

    The good thingsNot only are the regular employees welcoming, they are also supportive and don't compete. PurpleBug makes it a point to foster a safe place for not only you and your work, but also your identity. Express yourself, be creative, and have fun with their occasional events and weekly Town Hall meetings. They are also supportive and understanding of your schedule and your time. Thank you for the opportunity, each and every single day of my 4 months being your C&S Influencer Intern have taught me a lot.
    The challengesFor interns like me who don't comply half-heartedly, the inclusion of interns for events and voting (e.g. Best Dressed) can encourage others to join for the sake of prize or recognition.

    Good opportunity to work on real production tasks
    The good thingsThe culture is lively and the Monday townhalls are a fun way to start the week. The hybrid setup and long breaks give you a really nice balance. Management is also open to you taking on bigger technical tasks. I was able to develop internal tools and touch the production environment.
    The challengesThe main challenge is just the location. Traveling to Makati during peak hours can be stressful due to the traffic but the hybrid schedule makes it manageable.
