    Plantersbank's Farewell Bid
The good thingsThe good things enumerated below were present before the sale of the bank. 1. Whole Heart & Mind (WHAM) corporate culture where work is fulfilling and fun 2. Family-oriented 3. Open door management 4. Real Change Leaders program who are trailblazers of the WHAM culture 5. A Chairman who leads by example; cares for his people
The challenges1. Rising non-performing loans and assets 2. Wrong product offerings in the past 3. Sale of the bank to one of the biggest banks in the country 4. Being merged with a smaller thrift bank and the said thrift bank becoming the surviving entity

    Good things versus bad
The good thingsWork was ok. I learned a lot from my boss. This institution trained me to become a better account officer, and my efforts were rewarded by promotions - 4 steps in a matter of 6 years. The size of the bank is quite small compared to the top 5, so mostly everyone knows each other. Their car plan is one of the best in the industry.
The challengesThere is a lot of company politics going around the bank, which affects most everyone who does not want to toe their line. It was quite difficult to market the institution since it is a development bank that charges higher loan interest rates compared to the bigger universal banks.

The challengesMulti tasking is a must and career development is lacking. The lack of trainings and seminars for the employees

    PDB COMPENSATION
The good thingsIt was my first job. I have met many friends and clients. It was my stepping stone to learn abount banking industry. However, compensation to this company is very low. Slow in salary increases, slow in promotion as well.
The challengesPDB should have offer better opportunities and better salary grade to their employees. Fast promotions inorder for the employee to have motivation on their job.
