new field, opportunities to learn and great challengesThe good thingsit allowed the people to grow in terms of expertise by providing plenty of opportunities for training. the employees were allowed to participate in decision making and in policy formulation. promotion was based on merit and accomplishments were recognized and rewarded both materially and psychologically. everyone was respected no matter what the rank was.
The challengesmanagement should have been more aggressive in employing technology in the area of systems development plus the accompanying people training in IT. the Board of Directors should have been experts in certain fields and should have pushed or even initiated novel programs rather than just wait for management to propose improvements and innovations
