I have been in the government in some time but due to unforeseen circumstances I have to resign.
The good thingsThe Philippine Army is one the most trusted branch of our government. Because of the management and the service our uniformed personnel gives to our country. All the employees have their own perks and privileges.
The challengesit has a lot of paper works but still manageable.

No career development. Benefits little to none.
The good thingsFree lunch. Free billeting, but not for everyone.
The challengesLow chance of regularization. Others have been working for years already and still on a contractual basis. Benefits per staff are not the same. Some staff have a 2k allowance, others do not. No paid holidays and overtimes. Contractuals are heavily under-compensated for the amount of work that they do. No work life balance. At least not in my assigned office.

Attractive from outside world if you know what I mean :D
The good thingsMore benefits. Regarding with your work especially jungle combat operation, its to risky but theirs a saying that "if you want it earn it".
The challengesThe challenges here is you always obey your superior before your self. And its faraway from home. But for me its more fun to me especially combat operation.

Great working experience. Work with honor and dignity. Duty beyond self.
The good thingsCamaraderie and self-satisfaction. Go places that others havent been before.
The challengesThe duty is 24/7, 365 days a year. Even if your on leave, you are still on call

The Philippine Army an agent of change.
The good thingsServing the people, protecting the country from all forms of threats. Having been a part of the few that was chosen to become part of the prestigious branch of the Armed Forces, trained and adequately equipped to fight all adversaries in order to serve and protect the motherland.
The challengesDuring our time when we were still Lieutenants, The situation is really bad. This is due to the remoteness of the area. The ruggedness of the roads and terrains making it difficult for re-supply and evacuation of the wounded and casualties.
