    Good and People Centered Workplace
The good thingsGood compensation, Good workplace culture, good work-life balance, Good location. Lots of learning experiences and room for growth.
The challengesHas room to improve in terms of housing services and quality for the staff. The recreational amenities are very limited and poorly maintained. Company hospital services are downright horrible and incredibly disappointing, that we call the hospital an oversized pharmacy.

The good things- Training is good. Hand-on experience and training from professionals with years of experience under their belt. - Good benefits, specially to those who are with families. Free accommodation and utilities. Rice ration. Free education from elementary to high school.

Philex Mining Corporation is a responsible mining industry
The good thingsPhilex Mines is a responsible mining industry. It gives all the employees the importance of social work balance and commitment to environmental laws and regulations. It gives a great experience for individual workers to enhance their skills, leadership and self decision making.
The challengesThis company should upgrade their system, most especially for software updates. All of the equipment must also be upgraded to new technology design. In addition with this, management techniques and leadership must also improve its capability to embrace new engineering technology.

The good thingsThe environment and the people here are good people. It is a community built with good relationship with each other. The scenery is great and you have trails here if you want to go on a hike. It has sports complexes to keep you fit.
The challengesThe challenges working for this company would be more on the personal side. Like if you would like to party all night and get loud, you can't well it's due to curfew :) not much as a challenge to me though.

    Philex as an employer
The good thingsPhilex is the biggest miner in the Philippines today. It is IMS certified so it's compliant to all environmental regulations. It boasts of outstanding employee benefits. It provides free education until secondary schooling, it has it's own hospital for its employees, it provides free housing and utilities too. And lastly, the weather is perfect at the mine site!
The challengesMining in the Philippines is now a heavily regulated industry. That is the main challenge that Philex faces today. But with enough grit and determination from it's people, Philex will prove to Filipinos that there is such a thing a responsible mining company. And that is Philex Miing Corporation. An IMS certified, soon to be world class mining company.

The job experience with Philex caters with extensive technical training.
The good thingsThe good things with this company include technical training, unwaivering support from (at that time) the President of the company, extensive bonuses from production, and balanced fieldwork assignment.
The challengesA great deal of work deals with underground mine mapping. Being underground, there are certain challenges primarily about the high risk for injury or fatality to underground mine environments. Sampling and rock identification underground with low light quality is also challenging. The expected results of these samples put into vectors for mineral extraction is also challenging.
