Unfortunately, the experience had a negative impact on my mental health. This company might be good for your career, but assessing carefully whether this environment aligns with your values and expectations is encouraged. The good thingsOffice schedule, location, ambiance, tools, amenities, salary, actual work.
The challengesA promising company. Doesn't offer government mandated benefits (SSS, PAGIBIG, etc) and HMO is optional. A Code of Business Conduct exists, but was not followed. Decisions were driven by subjective judgments and personal biases rather than clear, objective standards. Population dominated by a generation of people that get easily offended or gets offended with almost anything. A minor non-work-related matter was handled one-sided by local management. The issue didn't even classify as a misdemeanor. The situation escalated unnecessarily. Was asked to issue a public apology without being given a proper due process. Was issued a final written warning, advised to stay silent about the incident under threat of further disciplinary action. No one teammate stood up for me, for the fear of being cancelled. Direct supervisor was highly just harm than help. The most heartbreaking corporate experience. Despite all that, gracefully exited the company and properly documented my tasks.
