Lots of opportunity for personal and professional growth - highly recommend!
The good thingsAs someone early in their professional career, MIIS has been the perfect place to learn on the ground and acquire a diverse range of skillsets. I've grown so much as a person and as a professional in just the span of two years. If you're someone who appreciates a job that is dynamic and not "repetitive", then you will thrive in MI. I also appreciate the high-quality, international training MI provides for its teachers/staff and the caring culture that ensures everyone feels supported and heard. MI has an "open door policy" so it's easy for you to go up to anyone, from your colleagues to even the founding directress, to ask for help/support.
The challengesThe challenge that comes with a dynamic job is the ability to balance all your tasks and to know what to prioritize. MI has a lot of activities to extend learning beyond the classroom so teachers and staff have to juggle a lot of hats; however, I've found that 1) this doesn't happen all year-round (there are times in the SY that are not as busy) and 2) there are always people who will be willing to support you/help take on some load if it becomes too overwhelming. It was definitely a bit of a struggle in my first year to balance everything, but now that I'm in my second year, I can confidently say that things get easier. It just takes some time to adjust to the workload, but I think that can be said for any job.

My experience has been deeply rewarding, has strengthened my professional growth and resilience.
The good thingsI truly enjoyed working with colleagues who became like friends and family, always supportive, and the valuable learning that came with the job has been a meaningful takeaway.
The challengesThe real challenge comes when you are asked to take on multiple roles and tasks; out of concern for the school and its students you embrace these responsibilities, though at times the demands can become exhausting.

I know some teachers wanted to gain experience in being in an IB school but MIIS is at the lowest tier. It's a traditional school pretending to be progressive. It's a family ran company and we all know what that means. Very toxic and the salary is not even worth the trouble. Find something else.
The good thingsSome experience on how to manage a classroom especially with difficult students and parents.
The challenges"Where do I even begin? I felt that I was scammed after signing the contract.I was given tasks that I've never agreed upon nor discussed, watched colleagues get disrespected while admin looked the other way or even incited it.There's no such thing as overtime pay and you WILL spend more time at work
