Kind Bosses | Long Weekend | Salary | Work Appreciation | Urgency
The good thingsThe higher-ups are kind and polite, they may not be generous as some but they are approachable, thus its easy to share your thoughts, ideas and get advise. With the period I have been working here, I'm yet to hear them yell or shout to someone. Taking leave of absence is easy. They are very lenient in taking leave and offset, thus you can enjoy every weekend as "long weekend". Salary offers for newly graduate is above the average.
The challengesSame with other company, while working on a closed environment, insecurities shows up. Low salary for the newcomer with experience and qualification, they will offer you with lower salary than your previous employer. When your doing a good job, more works will be toss to you. Do not expect that your hard work will be compensated equally. You can work for over 5years in this company without the so-called "salary-increase" coming your way. Due to leniency in taking leave of absence, works pile-ups. There is no sense of urgency, thus, those in-charge suffers.

Working and enjoying the job at provincial project
The good thingsSince I was assigned to a provincial project, the stress from commuting was lessen and workload is not that heavy. The environment is good and the people were so accommodating.
The challengesFixed salary for the staffs, public commuting when the service of the company is not available. I live in manila so I was a stay in for 6days/week so I spend lesser hours in home because of the added commuting time.

I work as a direct supervisor that handles the urgent needs of the project, coordinate to suppliers, trade contractors and owners to adhere the accomplishment of the project.
The good thingsThe entire learning process is really true to itself in this company, you will learn everything thru handsone training and exoeriences
The challengesThe stress and pressure that comes as being part of the company, because its not a typical company that had policies and guidlines to follow, it dosent have that kind of scheme everyone here must be coordinated

    Quantity Surveying/Document Controller/Office Engineer
The good thingsI've learned many things from start to finish of the project to turnover. There's alot of thanks to the head QS here and other Quantity Surveyors who help me discover more and learn more in construction industry. I learn to value my time since you are targeting the deadline for you to pass the proposal. I value every projects I handled here with dedication and time extension even without pay.
The challengesWorking in this company is very happy, in a single project, there were 2-3 person will help you to tender/quantify the items in a project and you'll learn different materials in a particular scope of work. I'm also taking care of the documents to use to participate in the bidding process, like, company profile, prequalification form questionnaires, etc. But its ok, I can handle everything its just how you manage the time.
