    Generally okay and challenging.
The good thingsThey never pay you late. Salary is on-time. HR is very attentive and responsive to concerns when raised even via MS Teams or via email.
The challengesVirtual set-up limits interactions with both students and co-teachers. Faculty meetings are normally scheduled not in advance; challenging for those who work part-time.

    Fruitful experience in the academe
The good thingsI worked here while finishing my second degree. It was a great experience to teach my knowledge to Mapuan students and encourage them to strive for excellence as what Mapuans do.
The challengesThe quarter system was quite a challenge. I have to consistently prepare since the term spans about only 11 weeks. However, the experience trained me to work consistently without feeling that it is merely a routine. I would like to go back someday when I retire from the industry.

    Rewarding work experience
The good thingsMIT provides a very motivating workplace with friendly employees and very supportive managerial staff. It offers a lot of opportunities for career advancement including seminars and workshops. Great effort and dedication in work is required but is well rewarded and recognized.
The challengesThe quarter system can be a great challenge to those not used to it but a plus factor is we learn to manage our time well. This system requires you to finish everything in ten weeks time and that can really be stressful but with the right work attitude it can be done.

    Technicalities In A Technical Institution
The good thingsThe type of students. Majority are serious in their studies and only few are truant. Benefits are good for those who are regular employees, but for probationary and casual nothing to be proud of. They are not considered first class citizens, what a pity! The salary is somehow competitive compare with other HEIs.
The challengesThe company should know how to recognize quality teachers. Immediate superiors should play no favoritism, be objective and informed in their decisions, and should know how to separate personal from professional matters. They should review also their policies on grading system especially those which adversely affect students' welfare.

The challengesThe challenge is preparing 4 lessons a day. It is also a challenge to finish all the papers to check students quizzes, assignments and other school task.

    Working as an College Instructor
The good thingsNice environment. Everybody would respect you. Treats you like a family. The work load was not so tough and schedule is so OK. You will have more time with your family. Open for trainings and seminars and provide good feedback system to employees.
The challengesDifferent student meaning different personality. So much to do with how you manage your classroom and to make your class interesting to everybody. Offcourse, you have to balance of being friendly and being an instructor to avoid abuse of students.

    The Mapua Experience
The good thingsBeing in the umbrella of the YGC company, Mapua has provided me with superb benefits that cater not only to me, but to my whole family. Their appraisals are reasonable and their training are all helpful. I have been here for almost 10 years and I can say that I am very satisfied with where I am now.
The challengesSince we are having accreditations and international visits almost all the time, it is so hard to cope up with the fast pace of Mapua. We have 4 terms, so the whole year we are catering to so many clients, sometimes, all at the same time.
