Overall, I would not recommend this company.
The good thingsThe only positive aspect is the colleagues, who make the work somewhat bearable despite the poor culture and leadership.
The challengesFavoritism is clearly evident, with promotions given to individuals who are not qualified for the roles they were assigned to. In some cases, employees were promoted into specialized functions without having the relevant background or experience required for those responsibilities. Salary offers and annual reviews are consistently lowballed, reflecting how little the company values its employees. There is minimal support from leadership, and even basic budget approvals are unnecessarily difficult. Confidential matters often turn into gossip, creating an unprofessional and unsafe environment. Although leaders undergo leadership training, it does not translate into practice, as many fail to act as good role models. It is not surprising that other departments with better resources perform more effectively, while this company struggles to properly support its people.

The good thingsThe work environment at Loanworks provides a safe and supportive space, where employees feel comfortable and colleagues are approachable.
The challengesBenefits like HMO should be day 1 plus dependent and Vacation leave should be at least 20.

My overall experience in Loanworks is amazing. Always grateful to be part of Loanworks!
The good thingsThe company has a positive and supportive working environment. I’ve been working here for 7 years and I’ve seen the continuous growth of the company, as well as my own personal growth.
The challengesMaybe the need to extend hours during month end but totally understandable.

    Disappointed and low morale
The good thingsNone. I suggest looking into other companies that value their people more
The challengesCompany used to be great, but recent changes are disappointing. PH holidays were removed, only AU holidays now. PH manager just follows AU bosses, no real support. Morale is low. Quarterly 1on1s are pointless, manager just gaslights instead of helping. People don’t feel valued

All major decisions come from the management in Australia, while the local management in the Philippines serves as little more than a mouthpiece. PH leadership fails to advocate for their own people, instead blindly supporting AU's directives, even when they’re clearly unreasonable or harmful. In short, this company fosters a culture where employee well-being is neglected, communication is one-sided, and leadership is disconnected from the realities on the ground.
    The good thingsGood software technology
The challengesSoftware team - Expect heavy workload and frequent OT. The company is understaffed, yet management won’t act. Decisions are made without consulting staff. AU leads all decisions while PH management gaslights and does nothing to support the team. No work-life balance, just burnout and neglect.

    Not Good Management
The good thingsThe people working there. There are a lot of good people there, at least, in the IT field.
The challengesIt's hard to introduce process improvement to the company because the management is not prioritizing employees but the client alone. They seem to have no care to the resources who brought income to the company. They are bias in hearing sides.
