The organization could benefit from addressing identified areas for improvement.
The good thingsThey offer a generous benefits package.
The challenges1. Onboarding mainly focuses on compliance training, particularly for individual hires, with no role-specific training provided. 2. The organization could benefit from more advanced systems and tools, as some areas currently lack structured processes. 3. Leadership can be unprofessional at times, with instances of reactive communication that have negatively impacted team morale and contributed to employee turnover. 4. Overtime is often unnecessary and driven by poor time management, with meetings frequently extending beyond work-related topics. 5. Feedback is not always well-received, and responses can be reactive, which may discourage open communication.

I had a great time working for KPMG. It is a fruitful experience given that I have learned a lot while staying with them. There is always a room for improvement and the seniors are always willing to assist whenever difficulties are met. The people in the organization are easy to work with, the workload is the real challenge though.
The good thingsA lot of career growth opportunities. Good environment and considerate team mates. Supportive managers and bosses, encourages proactiveness, and recognizes your contributions
The challengesHuge amount of work especially busy season, overtime is always needed to accomplish tasks. Fast-paced work, need lots of self-learning at times in order to accomplish tasks on time, low-pay for the amount of time rendered, can be stressful sometimes

Slightly good in terms of everything.

The challengesI did not enjoy the part where i was not able to go home in my province during the pandemic as auditors were still forced to work in office.

My overall experience is still worth while. There is plenty of career growth opportunities in the firm.
The good thingsGrowth Opportunities in the Accounting Profession and Versatility of Engagements. Average Active Performance Managers to support you in achieving your career and personal goals. Close coordination with superiors or leaders.
The challengesOn my experience with only one client, the contracts and/or agreements with client seem poor as it results to miscommunication which could lead to compromise with relationship to client and employee career advancement opportunities.

Great for career development, not so much for work/life balance or salary
The good thingsThe learnings, opportunities to move out of the comfort zone. As the tasks challenge you to think of outside the box while still adhering to the applicable requirements. The culture and the people is good, it feels like you are part of a community.
The challengesThe challenges would be the deadlines, and maintaining good client relationship as our work is sevice-oriented and thus, is a challente given that our work demands us to make do of what they can provide.

Advisory Intern - great work experience
The good thingsI was an intern for 3 months and I was so glad to have spent it here. There's also daily allowance, reimbursable every cut-off. The management is kind and accommodating to anything you need. They trusted me to handle different roles during the internship and this made me learn so much from the experience. I was assigned to a client for the whole internship so I wasn't just running errands. I was actually working on so many valuable things.
The challengesIf you're looking for some challenge, go to this company. Your knowledge and skills will be put to the test, at the same time, those will be honed. You will be working will equally competent interns and associates. Supervisors and management could be very demanding especially if the deadlines are nearing, but this is nothing compared to what you'll learn. It would be nice if you take the internship during vacation, not along side with classes as this will be tough as I've done both.

I was an intern at the Accounting department.
The good thingsThe people were very warm and friendly. They really wanted us interns to learn the actual things that they do, so they made us perform different tasks such as vouching, liquidation of advances, preparing of checks etc.
The challengesThe people were very friendly.

As an intern, the experience helped me develop corporate and communication skills needed in advanced industries.
The good thingsI enjoyed the perks and working with skilled employees. The experience is a way of development for my analytical, communication and leadership skills. The people I have worked with became my inspirations to aim more in terms of getting a career that is suitable for the field of my expertise.
The challengesI have encountered some working environment-related problems but surely are typical for an intern.

We've been acquired from another firm but there was really no plan at all for the team
The good thingsNothing is good, we we're treated like a second class citizen. No one is owning responsibility because of the fact that they operate like an audit firm that all transactions and dealings should be recorded. Facilities sucks.
The challengesPolitics is rampant. Managing Partners don't have an idea about the team is doing. As long as the invoice are being collected that's it. No Career path, there is a career path if you're close to the onshore managing Director not located locally but onshore. Someone's managing your career from afar.
