Exposure here is more than enough.
The good thingsThe training here is very extensive and substantial. We were exposed to clients from various industries and it helped us know our strengths and weaknesses as professionals even more. We got to know our respective niches.
The challengesLong working hours, lower than market rates, and the huge workload.

The admin staff are very slow in making reply to your requests
The good thingsI don't know if there are good things to share about this company aside from toxicity.
The challengesYou will have a very toxic working environment, coupled with admin staff who are always late in making reply to your questions and requests. Hoping not to see an employer like this in the future.

To build trust in society and distrust and society among its people - Life at PwC Ph
The good thingsI did enjoy learning quite a lot in a few years time and meeting a diverse set of people with a common goal.
The challengesPhilippine audit culture and its habit of coddling and spoiling clients will forever be the bane of any auditor. This is more so for this firm.

working at PwC is a great experience!
The good thingsI have been with the fun, jolly, friendly and hard-working colleagues here and with the best boss. Sadly I have to resigned but working in this firm is a great experience. It's people-oriented.The management focuses on its people and their development both on technical and personal.
The challengesThe location from my perspective.

Perfect for CPAs if the workload and working hours are regular
The good thingsGood pay for an audit firm, people are very professional and approachable. Experience is a very good credential in resume, really good. Learning and growth is high. Challenging roles. Fast promotion every year. Opportunities to work abroad is high if you perform well. Fun environment, not your typical desk job. It feels like you are in college with the people around.
The challengesToxic workload! (which is typical in an audit firm), Long working hours- 7-9am flexitime and gets home mostly 12am ONWARDS during busy season (even on weekends during busy season- January- end of April). No worklife balance. Goodluck with that.

It was a great experience working at Isla Lipana & Co.
The good thingsIsla Lipana & Co. was a perfect avenue for professional growth and development. If a CPA wants to learn and be a part of a thriving industry, Isla Lipana is the place to be!
The challengesWorking very late at night during busy season is inevitable. However, the good working attitude of my colleagues somehow reduces the stress. Moreover, some demanding clients make this job quite challenging.

A roller coaster ride, but definitely a pleasant
The good thingsPartners in our Group really spoiled their people and ensure that during busy season, the needs of the associates up to the managers is being taken care of (i.e. food, vitamin c, massage during busy season). Also, they are supportive of your learnings during your career progression at the firm.
The challengesThey should be true to one of the PwC Values of \"We work together\". Not just leaving the senior and the associate pull out an all nighter and review the output the following day.

A good place to build a career
The good thingsHere's some of the good things in the firm: - Work environment is very positive; people are very friendly - A lot of opportunities for growth (secondments, promotions, internal transfers) - A lot of initiatives from the management to engage with the employees - Benefits are very competitive compared to competitors - There's the firm's initiative called Quality Working Hours that aims to improve work/life balance by allowing staff to maximize working times in the morning and allow employees to spend their afternoons/evenings with loved ones.
The challengesHere are some rooms for improvement: - Work/life balance can still be improved. While the firm's initiative is a good thing, challenges encountered include the amount of workload being handled by a staff, team is undermanned, and some processes that are very traditional and slow become the bottleneck. - Workload amount can be too much especially when the group is undermanned and the managers fail to see that. In relation to quality working hours, the staff end up bringing home at work or doing weekends just to fully deliver the need. - Pay can still be increased considering the quality of work being delivered. - Managers should be taught how to appreciate the staff no matter how small the work that was delivered. Timely feedback and appreciation greatly boosts the confidence of an individual specially when someone has just started to build his/her career.

The experience is remarkable and satisfying.
The good thingsThe company/ firm provides a work life balance experience which allows the employee to explore his/ her potential in the public sector of the CPA profession. The firm's tax services also engages subcontracted engagements with international affiliates which will expose the employee to different tax regimes and better understand how multinational companies deal with their commerce. Aside from the professional development that the employees will get from the firm, the company offers variety of extra-curricular activities which will give the employee holistic development.
The challengesThe firm could improve more on the career development of the employees who are working for more than one year in the firm.

There is consistent learning after college.
The good thingsPeople are very accommodating and friendly, so help can be found whenever needed. In case of fresh graduates, there is an adjustment period where basic knowledge necessary for future tasks shall be taught. Work is often done in groups to encourage harmony within the workplace. There is little to no saturation in the management hierarchy that an entry-level employee may communicate persons on the higher-ups.
The challengesThey should hire more professionals so it would be less stressful to those departments lacking in manpower.

An environment with a high learning curve which can get pretty stressful at times, but worth it!
The good thingsYou will be surrounded by brilliant people. You'll learn so much and the experience gained here will be valuable to your career growth. Your jobs won't be boring, and the industry knowledge you'll receive is topnotch. You will not regret working in this company especially in Deals and Corporate Finance.
The challengesSometimes, you get plotted in a high-pressured project which will test your perseverance. But don't worry, it will be worth it with the people you'll be with and the experience you will gain. Salary is low, so don't expect an upgrade in your lifestyle.
