    The good thingsBenefits are well given/distributed especially regarding the health benefits. Bonuses are also a factor.
    The challengesI don't find anything bad about this company. Things need to improve is additional manpower proportional to the continuous expansion of the terminal.

    I am engaged in the Employee and Labor Relations facet of Human Resources.
    The good thingsThe most remarkable thing that I enjoyed in my engagement here at ICTSI is its unique approach to every social and political aspect of the business. As a Human Resources Officer, I gained a lot of experience in handling a unionized institution and I really enjoyed learning from the Company's established strategies and practices.
    The challengesFor me, the Company is still at its developing phase when its comes to the said aspect. In my honest opinion, given its status, the Company has been generous to all its employees and is not stopping from taking measures to improve its services to its employees.

    It is awesome experience.
    The good thingsMy current job has been wonderful because I get to split my time between creative and organizational tasks. I love having that duality, because when I get stuck on the creative stuff, I can switch gears and do the organizational stuff. It’s nice being able to use both sides of my brain. I also like that my bosses are very effective managers. They understand the importance of hiring good people and then simply clearing the way so their team members can do what they do best with few obstacles.Salamat

    My Experiences in ICTSI
    The good thingsThere were plenty of travel opportunities during my stint in ICTSI. I like the work-life balance. Workloads were oftentimes manageable. People in the company were generally friendly. There were also some field work.
    The challengesCareer development was very slow. I was in ICTSI for more than five years but there was no movement, no employee evaluation, and very little opportunities to improve one's skills. Office politics was very evident. I dare say that rubbing elbows with the right people was the best way to move up the ranks. HR's actions were more pro-administration. They terminate employees w/o hesitation.

    The good thingsI have learned all faces of Accounting - Billing & Collections, Payables, Disbursement, General Accounting including Financial Statement Preparation, Bank Reconciliation, Payroll, etc.
    The challengesICX Department located in Laguna closed. Working in North Harbor was not convenient for me. Although there was a great chance of transferring to the main office, I decided not to pursue because I want to work near in our residence.
