I find great satisfaction in my role at the ICRC, where I'm given the autonomy and freedom to deliver my work effectively. This level of trust and independence allows me to take ownership of my projects and contribute more meaningfully to the organization's mission.
The good thingsWhat I love most about my job is the team I work with—they're incredibly collaborative and supportive. There's a real focus on our growth, with plenty of opportunities to develop our skills. We also have great flexibility in how and where we work. But what really drives me is the organization's mission. Knowing that the work we do directly contributes to humanitarian causes gives me a huge sense of pride and is the main reason I'm so committed to staying here
The challengesDespite the recent financial struggles across the humanitarian sector, I remain deeply committed to our mission. However, these unprecedented challenges have created significant uncertainty regarding job security. While I truly value the impact of our work, the current situation has understandably raised concerns about the potential for contract renewals.

Balance is the key in your success.
The good thingsThey have a major concern with the career development of the staff. You have the opportunity to go abroad for training, that is based on your skills, knowledge and experience. They have a zero tolerance of doing administrative case.
The challengesTo have a minimum expectations in this career, you need to have a lot of patience, not all companies are great in their employees. so better to live in this situation and lend your ears to them so that they will hear you and accept you.

An excellent organization to work for
The good thingsAn organization with a great purpose. It is a privilege to be working for ICRC. The people are great. There are a lot of opportunities for learning and development, with chances of meeting a lot of people and traveling abroad. This is an organization that cares deeply for its employees.
The challengesNone, really. My challenges were more of personal stuff, not really related to this awesome organization.

    Fun work with a purpose
The good thingsThe organization is humanitarian so you know you're contributing to a higher purpose. The atmosphere in the Manila Shared Service Center promotes camaraderie and fosters a comfortable space to deliver expected results. It even allows a flexible schedule. As it is an international organization, it provides opportunities to work in various regions where the headquarters and delegations are located.
The challengesMy current position is like a one-man sector so although it requires little supervision, it also does not pose many opportunities for promotion as the skills mastered in this post does not match those of higher positions.
