Greaat company to be with but a challenging industry to be in.
The good thingsGreat working environment and the benefits are also above industry standard.
The challengesYOU NEED TO INVEST IN RELATIONSHIP WITH DEALERS AND SOMETIMES IT WOULD TAKE YOU A WHILE TO GET THEIR TRUST AND SOMETIMES NOT.

    People are GREAT, Management's NOT.
The good thingsPeople respect each other. In my department, we just work, nothing personal. The Team Lead is responsible and takes care of their team. Nice People in my department.
The challengesThe benefit is NOT COMPETITIVE AT ALL. The upper managment has poor contingency plan and they are not generous, besides we do not have increase this year.

GRBS is very competitive in terms of comp and ben. With dynamic teams handling respective processes. Offer various career growth opportunity to promising and potential team members.
The good thingsGRBS has a global yet diversed working environment that observes high level of competencies (integrity being on top) and keeps strong work ethics. The company provides variety of trainings through different platforms for continuous learning and career development. Practice and encourage work life balance environment.
The challengesMay require background from shared service industry to keep up with fast pace, aggressive and highly competitive team members.

    Poor Management
The good thingsThe work load is bearable to light for a shared service. Benefits are not that great but with preferrable limit.
The challengesPoor management. Managers are not really people oriented as they were claiming. So much cost cutting to the point that they will include the Continuous Improvement to individual key performance indicator but the employees do not reap the benefits of the cost being cut-down. Even the team's prices for recognitions which should serve as motivitional factor were not given to the employees

    Goodyear - Global Business Services
The good thingsThe teams are quite energetic and willing to work collaboratively on projects. Management is easy to reach out to and have discussions. Salary is good with consistent merit increases and bonuses annually, of course you need to be a top performer. The company is always making efforts to improve their business as well as improving the engagement of the Associates. They really expend a lot of effort in organizing and maintaining different committees to keep the Associates engaged both in the work environment as well as within the local community. The company also provides many opportunities for travel and even to be promoted to different departments based on your career path and passions.
The challengesGoodyear is a very old company (119 years globally, and 100 years in the Philippines), so that means some changes take longer than a \"normal\" company. The tenure in the company is quite astounding, where hearing people have been with Goodyear for 15, 20, 30+ years is fairly common. The breadth of experience that comes with that tenure is sometimes burdened with lack of willingness to change existing process that already works. You just must put in more effort to prove the new processes and ensure that a smooth transition is well developed.

    Good overall experience
The good thingsThe work routine is challeging but the teammates are always there to help you out and the team leader tries his best to help you achieve your best performance. Goodyear is a big multinational company and working for them can really make the difference for your career or resume.
The challengesI don't have much to complain about working there. The work load can get tough sometimes but you can always try to as for help or more time if you have a reason. Be truthful and reasonable and your boss will hear you.

    Great benefits, poor management style.
The good thingssalary is above average; great benefits; very light workload for a finance service center
The challengesnontransparent management style especially in decision-making; so much attention to administrative factors; poor care/plans for associates' career path; a not so people-oriented leadership team

The good thingsI have gained additional knowledge in General Accounting, particularly in Banking and Intercompany Processes.

    A good year Journey
The good thingsAs a company, goodyear is a well established name in the industry. We carry its name within us being one of the producer of high quality tires They are also very considerate to their people.
The challengesThe first challenge is the migration of the processes, there were poor execution of the plans. The people that went to migration were not given full attention into different aspects like accommodation and transportation. The company does not have a competitive benefits as compared with others within the industry.
