Do not work here. If you have a shred self-dignity, do not work here.
The good thingsNot a lot. I can't say anything good about this company
The challengesthe salary the incentive scheme is beyond the trainer's control the poor benefits basic as 18k. very little when you're paying for the nets the equipment, and the costs of utility payment. training period only gives an allowance.

    Find growth elsewhere
The good thingsThe manager (who unfortunately left) and some of my teammates
The challengesThe lack of support and transparency. You're forever stuck in a vague feedback loop or given impossible-to-achieve metrics by people who don't understand your job. It's who you know and how well you can suck up to people

If you can earn 30K PHP anywhere else, go there.
The good thingsA stable enough company with the opportunity to work with interesting clients worldwide.
The challengesPoor salary with no raises or adjustments for inflation, no room for growth or promotion, a nearly-impossible-to-achieve bonus system, no sympathy for power or internet outages, typhoons, etc., management imposes but does not listen, questionable labor practices, inequality based on location/exploitation, a profit, not people oriented culture.

It's okay, but not for the long run
The good thingsThe company offers WFH and you get to talk to a lot of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
The challengesPay is low and any problem with your Internet connection (which is out of your control) would be deducted from your bonuses. There is also no pay raise nor any opportunity for vertical movement.

If professional growth is what you're after, look elsewhere.
The good thingsPart of the job was interacting with people from different parts of the world. That was the highlight of my 3+ years with the company. The colleagues are quite friendly, and the general work environment is chill.
The challengesI was overwhelmed by the number of things I had to do for every lesson. It didn't help that upper management made big, sudden changes and required us just be okay with those changes. Biggest turn-off is the fact that there is no growth for trainers.

    Best to explore better opportunities
The good thingsThe location was convenient and people were nice. The work itself is not stressful, rather it's the illogical rules that are a counterproductive use of one's time.
The challengesOffice politics, hierarchy, low salary, bare minimum benefits, an unfair "incentive scheme" and best to just veer away from most top level managers and execs. Limited opportunity for growth.

Career plateau with little to no movement
The good thingsLocation is convenient and the people you will work with are very nice.
The challengesBest to check the Glassdoor for honest reviews. Expect very little input, growth and small salary for the things they expect from you.

You can learn a lot when you are assigned to the right department
The good thingsThey are open with ideas and let you lead the way once you prove yourself that you really know what you are doing and when you are passionate enough on your job
The challengesSalary is not that competitive

    Great people and benefits!
The good thingsI enjoyed meeting new people, learning new skills, and increasing my knowledge and exposure to different cultures. goFluent is one of the leading language and business training companies in the world, and they employed some very talented individuals.
The challengesThere weren't enough opportunities for growth in the company. After 5 years, I had to reassess my position and possible upward or lateral moves. Unfortunately, I didn't find any positions that appealed to me.

    Best Teaching Job Ever!
The good thingsProfessional students, well-structured classes, excellent training modules, a wonderful community, and a great salary. The venue is a breeding ground for creativity and the employers really care about you. Taxes are always filed on time with organized breakdowns of where your money goes. I have such high trust in this company.
The challengesAs a fresh grad, I had a lot of growing up to do and I feel like I took this job for granted. I was too focused on superficial things like how dark the office felt and how few leaves I had instead of simply planning my time better and just working hard. This job may seem boring for some, but it is a comfortable load for those who enjoy connecting with students and teaching important lessons.

    Everybody is your boss
The good thingsTo be honest, I don’t remember any. All I can say is I made lots of new friends.
The challengesI regret signing up to this company. I never learned anything new. Got stagnant for 2 years They’ve learned a lot from me if I may say so. Office politics exists in this company. A lot of bootlickers and opportunist. There’s just too many bosses.

    Money ay not be enough
The good thingsThe salary was really competitive. If you are after a job that will pay the rent, and you are competitive enough, that's the right company for you. If you have issues with getting along, you might have a hard time. Esp, if you are the type of person who lives a frugal and simple life. But you will learn a lot from that company.
The challengesI may be an isolated case, but I had a difficult time getting along. And because I am a people person, failing to feel that you are welcome and that you are an integral part of the team and company, this made me feel inadequate and it affected my performance.

    goFluent, goneF***ed
The good thingsInitially, the work environment was wonderful. As years went by, Management became less and less concerned with the human resource or output quality and more concerned with cutting corners and increasing profit.
The challengesI believe there was a great disconnect with having foreign managers in the Philippine offices. Cultural differences and office practices that varied became obstacles in moving forward with the changes and elicited discord instead of team building.

    The best workplace ever
The good thingsI love working here because I get to do what I love. I feel that I am supported by my management and my colleagues are my family.
The challengesI think there could be more room for growth. As a trainer, the only position to be promoted to is still trainer.

    Comfortable place to work
The good things- Salaries always came on time, sometimes early, never late - Everyone is friendly, from top management to everyone below - Efficient human resources department; unlike in some places, they don't need to be taught how to do their job - Good work-life balance; overtime work is discouraged - Free coffee, Milo, and mocha
The challenges- At the time I left, they were beginning the implementation of a time-tracking tool, apparently for computing costs. Nobody believes that. Aside from those tools putting a damper on one's work momentum (you can't multi-task if you need to record a particular task you're working on), it always feels like they put it in place to make you feel guilty when you take a break.
