    Wonderful working experience
The good thingsFantastic work life balance, complete autonomy in role. Staff turnover very low, except for marketing.
The challengesConstantly downsizing workforce, all decisions made by European counterparts. Not firm enough in dealing with 3rd party providers.

    Unsophisticated for a global giant
The good thingsA few good operators with the right attitude, collaborative mindset and smarts.
The challengesNot what it appears, even though it’s part of the global General Mills family it never feels that way. Aside from ambitious overseas managers, company feels and acts in quite an unsophisticated way. Culture is driven by panic, stress and poorly managed pressure.

    Well remunerated high performance culture
The good thingsStrong, intelligent motivated team where each person strives for excellence and drives to achieve strong business results. People who aren't afraid to debate ideas and challenge each other. Best NAMs I've worked with - they could sell ice to eskimos! While there's still some 'silo-ing' in between functions, it's easier to work collaboratively here than most other FMCGs I've experienced. Base salary was well above average.
The challengesNot a lot of mentoring/coaching - senior leaders too busy in their own roles. If you work on global brands, most/all strategy comes from o/s, and the focus in AU is on implementation, which doesn't leave heaps of room for creativity. Location in Mt Waverley is FAR! If there's an accident on any major road on the way, you may sit in traffic for hours. No public transport nearby.

Good work environment but the lack of a full-time opportunity after 1 year and 6 months or so was a deal breaker for me.
The good thingsGreat group of people. Fantastic hours when busy.
The challengesHardly any when quite 12 hours over 3 days if you're lucky.

    Not a good one
