Generally okay if you want to experience working for a game development company but note that the studio focuses more on marketing/web development

The challengessalary is not as competitive for a multinational company, lack of processes and documentation

    Expectations vs reality
The good things-Perks and benefits (like free movie) -Playstation on the office -Can play games during and after work hours -Friday events (like acoustic indie bands)
The challenges-It depends on the team that you will be assigned at, in my case the team had no system or proper process to follow. -No documentation -No proper training -Teammates with crab mentality -Gossipers/Bootlickers (I get it that every company has it but you are still warned) -No learning opportunity, same old system used

This company is full of surprises
The good things1. Great workmates. Really had fun while I'm on this company. 2. Great HR's. Really updates you with your inquiry with them and easy to contact with.
The challenges1. The salary is often miscalculated and a lot of adjustments needs to be made every payroll period. You must know how to calculate your own salary. 2. The work is stressful because it requires you to render OT everyday. Even doing double shifts are normal in this company.

One of the most respected Game company in the world
The good thingsI have been chasing Gameloft for years and when I got the chance to join them, that's when the real fun began. I started my career as a Game Designer here and within the time that I had, I have learned over a handful of new things from pre-production, development, project management, post production, game marketing, and more. The company has a western culture and a lot of awesome game projects.
The challengesBeing a first time Game Designer, I trained myself by just observing and asking questions. There isn't any boot camp or training when I started, so almost everything is relatively new to me. This is when self-studying became essential. The production pace is also fast paced and always expected to be in high quality. However, the hardships and struggles during the start became my greatest tool.
