    Very Positive Career Trajectory
The good thingsOur manager is a ex-google developer and is very hands-on to the team. Weekly 1on1s, m1 macbooks provided, paid-for learning platforms, modern tech-stacks used and interesting projects. Non-toxic environment with approachable and helpful developers. We have a hybrid work setting (once a week on site) and free employee parking!
The challengesI live far away so 2 times a week of work-onsite is quite tiring

I'd work for them again if I had the chance
The good thingsThey had a very structured management and honestly my department was great; open to learning from mistakes and had realistic expectations from it's employees.
The challengesHonestly, the challenge for me was how there were times that upper management didn't give a clear direction on how they wanted the project to go.

Challenging but not in a good way
The good things- Clean office. Facilities are very decent. - Friendly people - HR trainings were very useful
The challenges- Pay isn't decent. Especially the benefits. - Extremely high expectations from my boss. (This is my experience) My boss was very unreasonable and expected me to master everything that I've learned during my second-third week. - I don't recommend this company. If you're into sales, then this is probably for you. - Some employees were given two roles but their salary remained the same.

    Challenging experience
The good thingsEnvironment was top-notch. Most people were great to work with. The office reflected the brands that the company carries - luxe. Personal development trainings given by the H.R. were great.
The challengesWhen I started, work trainings were not sufficient to cover the entirety of the company policies and procedures. The company has a lot of old and new internal policies and procedures which can be overwhelming for new hires. Focus Global Inc. was exceptionally undermanned during my time. People were overly utilized to do things unreasonably beyond his/her position, job description, salary, benefits, and work hours. Promotion, salary increase, additional benefits were based on higher management's familiarity with the employee. During the start of the pandemic, most companies faced a lot of challenges. Unfortunately, Focus Global Inc. was not able to overcome quite a few challenges. Unresolved challenges when piled up cause significant amount of stress. I can say that the overwhelming exhaustion led people to quit during my time.

Good for Sales People only; Not Good for Support Group
The good thingsClean workspace and friendly people. This is probably good for fresh grads since you'll learn a lot of things other than your expertise.
The challengesManagement tend to overly utilize people. No boundaries on work and they set very high expectations that do not match your position, salaries and benefits. For example, they set standards to a staff or fresh grad that is normally expected from managers and above. Some department heads are also not experts on the field that they are managing. Position is given based on trust and not based on expertise or performance. For example you can be the head of Engineering department w/o even studying engineering (PS. They don't have this dept - this is just an example). Lastly, very minimal salary increase and bonus.

A good stepping stone; not for long-term
The good things1. Clean and secured office space 2. Friendly people (generally)
The challenges1. Very slow career growth 2. Low pay and poor benefits; but very high expectation from employees 3. Low support on career advancement trainings 4. Micromanagement (understatement) 5. No OT pay; They offer compenstory-off only 6. Does not prioritize technology and process innovations 7. Low to zero budget for corporate-wide activities 8. Wear many hats. You get to do various tasks outside your line of work.

The good thingsCo workers are nice, kind and professional
The challengesSupervisors and managers are always micromanaged. There are no documented policies. The policy is what the big bosses say, whether lawful or otherwise.

    Great Learning Experience!
The good things- The company encourages some positions to have direct line of communication with the President and EVP. The advantages to this include; fast approvals and maximum productivity (means more accomplishments since you can complete projects faster), mentorship from higher management (you somehow learn how they decide on and do things) They will make time to give meaningful feedback on accomplishing tasks better. - The direct superiors would let you work independently and perform roles that are beyond your level from setting the vision, planning, implementing and evaluating team goals. You'll strengthen your sense of ownership and stretch your time management skills since you also have to be able to perform your operational duties. - Coordination across departments are within arms reach. Remarkable traits of the employees are: proactive feedback, sense of urgency, openness to new learning. - They offer leadership training programs to nominated employees - The pay and increase are higher than the average for the similar role and level - I worked with the best section :)
The challengesNothing that is not negligible.

    Great employers and management
The good thingsIt was a very nice working environment.
The challengesMy stay there required versitality with my role. As being part of the sales team, I was challenged having managed a brand that was hard to market. Having a profit based performance, I was not doing well as sales are not my stronger skills. When I was tasked to handle other tasks, I was able to enjoy my role in the company.

    Luxury Brands, Unreasonable Demands
The good thingsYou get to work with world renowned brands
The challenges1. No proper training and on boarding. The expectation is you will be plug and play in 1-2 weeks and people who are supposed to train resent it on account of them being 'too busy'. 2. Benefits is so so. It's been years since they last changed our leaves and healthcare package 3. Culture here is polarizing. Some managers just let their staff do their jobs with no regard if they doing right/wrong. Some are really micro managers down to the last menial task. At the end of the day, one misstep and its on you and they will not hesitate to find a replacement.

    Good place to get experience
The good thingsEasy implemention of changes or improvements due to small size Free parking no stress in the morning People are generally ok to work with but tenured ones are lackluster No ridiculous overtime You will be given good opportunies to improve yourself if you are a performer
The challengesNo documented policies and procedures Not so good accounting system Benefits on the low side, leaves are less than 50% of MNCs, low coverage medical No strategic planning at the start of the year Compared to other companies, work hours here is 8.5 hours per day No visibility on true financial performance of the company (whether still stable or not)

    Excellent & Challenging Work
The good thingsValues -Working at FGI taught me a lot of things. It has developed me personally & professionally. I've learned to be more disciplined, to focus on the work to be done and to prioritize. I've also learned to value time, people &commitments, that Good is not enough and one must always strive for excellence Mentorship -I've also realized that I can always be a better person today than I was yesterday, if only I would learn from my mistakes and use it as my strengths. Thanks to my Mentor/Immediate supervisor for her support. Teamwork -I truly admire the Teamwork within the Company, how Departments support each other, and how people work together as one. Salary &Bonuses -I believe the Basic Salary rates here at Focus Global Inc. is above the industry Standard. They also provide Annual Increase and Performance based Bonus. Management -The Owners of the Company are thoughtful, kind and Hardworking. They are also closely involved in managing every aspect of their Business. They provide programs that promotes the wellness of employees, and Trainings for skills developments. Workplace/Facilities -Located in BGC where beautiful landscapes are the usual things, the building and the offices are admirable, clean and comfortable. It also has a gym.
The challengesLocation -The greatest challenge for me is the commute from and to the Office due to extremely heavy traffic Benefits -Sick leaves and Vacation Leaves are minimum, though both are convertible to cash Promotion It's hard to get promoted probably because the Culture is quite competitive. Processes -Some Basic Processes needs Streamlining.

    Micromanage type of leadership
The good thingsYou can enjoy marketing luxury brands, and working in a glamorous office workplace.
The challengesDespite the luxury status of the brand, the management doesn't offer that much budget to help promote the brand to the proper market. The owners persistently micromanage their employees. Employee salary isn't competitive, same with the employee benefits package.

The good thingsThe good thing of my job. This management we have yearly customer service training or sometimes we have a team building and travel around some provinces and join to events that related to my brands like camping , or outdoor class training
The challengesWe have a diffirent kind of boss. My boss or my sales manager in my work are very kind and very helpfull to me . He taught me how to manage merchandisers. But the challenge for me this work are more multi task that you do even if not the part of your job. But for me its ok to accept the challenge that give to me i always priority of my all superior

Good as a training ground, but very behind when it comes to systems and process.
The good thingsGreat people to work with, professional. Sadly though this isn't the same when it comes to Management.
The challengesThe Management runs on who ever is in \"Favor\" with them. Salary wise, they will negotiate with you at your lowest expectation knowing you have great skills. This could have been a good company, however the Management fails to see the wellness of their employees and FOCUS ONLY on revenues for the company.

    Great Company
The good thingsThe company makes sure that you have everything you need so that you could perform your duties properly. They evaluate your performance annually and gives bonuses and increases if you deserve it. They also offer different activities like sports fest, bowling nights and parties. They have weekly meetings to keep you updated about the company's status.
The challengesThere are only a few challenges here. Maybe its location? Before it was based in Pioneer Mandaluyong, now its in Bonifacio Global City (which is really far from where I live). I really love this company, that's all I can say.
