Good company if you're a fresh grad, but Finastra is not the best fit to build your career long-term
The good thingsFlexible vacation leave, SL convertible to cash, hybrid working set-up, medicine reimbursement
The challengesSome managers are micromanagers (too strict with time in/out and breaks, they don't listen to subordinate suggestions, brown-nosing clients), salary is too low compared to the competitors, company is unfair if you have disabilities, people from different teams can be very toxic, favoritism and office politics go from the upper management to the direct reporting manager (managers will not protect you, they will only protect themselves and leave you by yourself), promotions and salary increases are little to none, limited to no career growth/opportunities, team processes are not streamlined.

Not really a good company based on my experience
The good thingsBenefits are good. Allowances and OT pay are good.
The challengesAs per above, OT pay and allowances from differential are good, but basic pay is not good. What you get for a basic salary is usually the half or sometimes one-third of what you can get from other Fintech companies (Aside from entry level). Due to that, employees don’t usually consider Finastra as a long term option. Lack of employees is the norm in Finastra and heads don’t really care as long as the company can gain more revenue.

Dated technology stack and poor organization
The good thingsYou relate with your team members for the most part since most of the employees are relatively young.
The challengesPoor resource planning you get shifted to so many different projects without addressing the issues of the previous task. In addition there are not a lot of growth opportunities here. What you do from 1 year is basically what you'll be doing for the rest of your stay here. In return most people leave in a relatively short amount of time.

    Excellent working environment
The good thingsThe working environment is second to none. The company has lots of extra curricular activities to keep its employees engaged and motivated. The cultural diversity and sensitivity is also a plus. Since the company have different sites around the world, different cultural appropriations and celebrations are being held which makes you aware of different practices done by different cultures.
The challengesOne challenge I could think of is the office location. The building itself is state of the art but it is located in Makati. Traffic is a big problem here in the Philippines and if you're not living near the area, the commute is really challenging. I suggest more office locations in the future.

Great benefits. Average pay. Poor senior resource retention
The good thingsFlexible schedule - would actually depend on your manager. Great benefits - Medical benefits is a notch above well-known companies. Leaves - Number of allotted sick leaves unbelievably a lot.
The challengesWork is mainly POC thus career growth is very slow. Some technology being used is very old and not applicable to other companies. Salary is average, so is the increase. Appraisal only once a year. Workload is often more than you are being paid for due to lack of resource. The company has little to none effort to retain its senior resources - thus being an \"expert\" on the field is difficult - lack of KTs.

    Responsibilities
The good thingsGreat people, probably the best I've met so far. Flexible time. Great benefits. Office is in a great building.
The challengesResponsibilities are many and difficult. I think it's too much, in relation to the pay.

    Marketing Center of Excellence
The good thingsI'm a part of the pioneer team for MCoE that had just been established this year. Although we're under an employment agency, the benefits and salary compensation especially for a fresh grad like me is competitive enough. It's a new team so we're still trying to learn the ropes but it's a good experience. We also have a gym, vendo machine (free coffee, milk tea, juice, soda, etc), sleeping lounge and mooooore. They will give you what you ask for in terms of equipment.
The challengesLittle growth? Too early to tell.

    A Great Place to Work
The good thingsEncourage employees to participate in company events; colleagues are willing to give a helping hand especially if there's something you're still learning or if there's something you don't quite understand and need help with; managers encourage their teams to do upskilling work to ensure that skills sets are up-to-date and relevant to what is needed by the person and can be used not only to further oneself but also the goals set by the team; employee benefits are in abundance and HR office encourages the people to use them.
The challengesI personally don't have any challenges that I experienced while working for Misys. So far, everything is going well and I think as long as we do things according to company policy then everything will go well.

    Nice and easy
The good thingsThe company has been quite employee-centered in terms of how well they let everyone do their thing. There is not much restraint inside the office, and they promote health and wellness for each and every one. The Human Resource team are always available whenever they are needed and the management heads are approachable.
The challengesPromotion is a bit tedious as it involves a lot of channels to get through. Other than that, the company is a great place to work.

    Internal clubs and groups
The good thingsThe different clubs and groups encourage us to have a work-life balance. Our HR organises activities and events often.
The challengesI work with India (2 and a half hours behind PHT) and UK (8 hours behind PHT). In order for my work to go smoothly by coordinating with my peers, I have to stay late.

The challengesAt first you'll feel lost but eventually you will get used to the working environment.
