The good thingsOne of the best parts of my internship at Financial Fanatics was being surrounded by wonderful leaders and a supportive environment. The workplace encouraged growth and time freedom, which made learning both easy and meaningful.
The challengesThere were little to no challenges during my internship, as the people around me constantly reassured and reinforced the idea that there is always room for improvement. This made the experience feel motivating rather than pressuring.

The good thingsI enjoyed working in a positive and welcoming environment that made me feel comfortable from the start. I appreciated the supportive and friendly workmates who were always willing to help and guide me. I also liked gaining hands-on experience with real bookkeeping tasks, which helped me understand bookkeeping processes better. The clear communication and teamwork made daily work smooth and enjoyable. Overall, I enjoyed how the company balanced productivity with a healthy and encouraging workplace culture.
The challengesOne of the challenges I faced during my internship was adjusting to new accounting systems and tools. At first, it was difficult to keep up with the accuracy required in bookkeeping tasks, especially during reconciliations. I also had to improve my time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently. There were moments when I felt unsure about my work, but I learned to ask for guidance when needed. Overall, these challenges helped me become more attentive, organized, and confident in my skills.

However, I felt internal pressure to perform well and meet expectations, especially when handling new tasks for the first time. The good thingsFinancial Fanatic offers a positive working environment with a strong people-focused culture. Work-life balance is genuinely respected. The support system is excellent, with a collaborative and approachable team.
The challengesIf there is one area that could be improved, it would be having a more solid contingency plan in place. That said, this was never a major issue and did not significantly impact day-to-day operations. Overall, the team was adaptable and handled situations well as they arose.

The challengesThe air conditioning can be a bit too strong at times—my hands sometimes go numb from the cold! A little adjustment would make the workspace even more comfortable.

The challengesOne challenge I’ve noticed is the high turnover rate, which can make things a bit harder at times. When employees resign, their client responsibilities are often redistributed, adding pressure and requiring adjustment. That said, I understand this comes with the growing process in any organisation.
