    FESTO PHILIPPINES COMPANY PROFILEFESTO’s world headquarters is in the Neckar Valley in Esslingen, near Stuttgart, Germany. This and other nearby FESTO plants house the company’s central research and development, product development and testing, component manufacturing, quality control, parts distribution center, control systems design and corporate functions division.FESTO is a privately-owned company that began in 1925, to manufacture woodworking machinery and a small range of portable power tools. Motivated to automate its existing manufacturing facilities, FESTO used the newly emerging pneumatic technology and this led to the establishment of the Pneumatic Division in 1957.At that time, pneumatics was a little known technology and FESTO saw a need to educate people in the use of pneumatic equipment. In 1965, the third company division, Didactic (Educational Relation) was formed. Didactic which means “to instruct’ embodies its prime objective, which is Technical Training.In the 70”s, to provide industries with more sophisticated controls, the use of electric and electronics to control pneumatics began. FESTO envisioned the future of Electronic Technology and in 1978, the Electronic Division was organized.This is FESTO today, a company offering sales, services, training and consultancy on a worldwide basis in 52 countries, not only in the Pneumatics, but more importantly, in the fields of control engineering for Industrial Automation.FESTO Philippines was the pioneer company offering system design, service, technical assistance and sales of pneumatic products and control systems for Industrial Automation to all industries since 1978. Our Sales Engineers are trained, experienced and qualified to discuss customers’ requirement, and are supported by now more than 50 employees to assure reliable after sales service.The RP Head Office, computerized Warehouse and Training Center is located in Sucat, Parañaque with a branch office and Training Center in Cebu. FESTO Technical Representatives in Bacolod, Baguio, Batangas, Cagayan de Oro City, Davao, General Santos, Iligan, Naga City, Olongapo City, Subic and Zamboanga City support all provincial companies.In 1986, our Electronic and Cybernetic Divisions were established to meet the demand of Philippine industries for more complex control systems using PLC’s. Because of our capability to offer complete solution, more than 1,000 manufacturing companies made FESTO their partner in Industrial Automation projects.The need to upgrade and update the knowledge and skills of Filipino Engineers and Technicians on Industrial Automation technologies is one major concern of the manufacturing sector. FESTO through its Didactic Training Division, have conducted over 1,120 ‘Hands-On” training workshops attended by more than 11,500 participants since 1978 and offering Software, Teachware and Training Equipment to industry and institutions.
