50% Bad Experience, 50% Good ExperienceThe good thingsThe job involves gathering of data from chemical journals, and encoding them based on client-specific guidelines and tools. You'll be reading countless journals with subjects focusing mostly on organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, biochemistry and pharmacology. If you love hardcore chem, then you'll get accustomed to it like I did.
The challengesAs someone with only a BS degree, it takes time to understand the articles along with the excerption guidelines. The work is production based, so one should also meet tight deadlines while trying to maintain >98% quality. Despite of the high requirements, it was surprising that the company offers a non-competitive salary. The position offered was only good as it sounds.
