Learned a Lot, but Management Support Can Be BetterThe good thingsI enjoyed expressing my creativity in store displays. A highlight was winning first place in a display contest, which also helped us reach our sales target.
The challengesWorking here helped me develop strong customer service skills and handle different responsibilities in daily operations. I appreciated the teamwork and the chance to learn and grow professionally.
There were also challenging situations, especially during high-pressure customer interactions. More management support during escalations would have helped frontliners handle these moments more smoothly.
One area that can be improved is professionalism and consistency in communication. There were instances where employee-related situations were discussed openly, and some remarks about employees’ personal circumstances were shared in front of others. Strengthening confidentiality, empathy, and fairness in internal processes — including approvals and interpersonal interactions — would create a more respectful and supportive environment.
Overall, the role taught me resilience, patience, and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
