I can say that my experience with DFA teaches me a lot about handling other people in many cases.

Arguably the best government agencies to serve in.
The good thingsWork at the DFA is pretty straightforward and fast-paced but it doesn't feel like work at all if you are genuinely interested in diplomacy and in improving the status of our country in the international arena. What makes it even better is that tenured workers won't hesitate in extending a helping hand and contributing to your career growth. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat.
The challengesUnless you have a car and can drive to work before the rush hour hits, it makes more sense to rent a condo/apartment or stay in a dorm.

It was the best internship experience.
The good thingsThe people are accommodating despite their superiority and they are patient enough to teach their interns and assist them in their tasks. They will make you feel like you belong in their company and that creates a sense of inspiration and motivation to work hard everyday and be an asset to the department. And even though it was just an internship, it felt like a real job.

    A Good Public Servant
The good thingsBeing able to provide a good public service to our fellowmen. Being able to work for the government. A lot of good opportunities awaits in working for the department.
The challengesWorking for the public has a lot of disadvantages as well. There are people who would argue with you and makes you feel like they are the ones who hired you. Like you owe everything to them.
