    A challenge!
The good thingsI am employed in it's biggest project, mining up here in the mountain. Here, food, accommodation and laundry is free. We work with paid roster break. One thing i consider good here is that, some employees here work apart from their degree. I see this a good thing because this mean they do not allow their employees to stay just where they are but open doors for improvements, train their employees new skills. I could also see here good working relationship from rank & file to superiors. We practice here safety at work.
The challengesThe challenge in working in this project of the company is to deal rightly to co-employees following the company policy. It becomes challenging when superiors ask a staff to do something that is not in line with his/her job. While others consider this negative, i still consider this good because this means learning and earning new skills. This company prefers multi-tasking employees.

Very good work force, with a bad driving force
The good thingsI loved that the people around you are supportive and would show you that even the hardest task can be done with a smile. People and work force are assets for the company so I really cannot understand why they are disregarded, with no health card and perf. review.

    A terribly-run company
The good thingsOne of thr few good things working for this company is the 4-2 roster rotation (4 weeks on site and 2 weeks vacation with pay). This is only applied in their biggest project as they only aligned with the principal which employs a 2-1 schedule. The project is a class A Australian Copper-Gold Mining Project. The onsite camp provided by the principal is one of the best in the country.
The challengesThe said mining project was their only mining project and their biggest. They were only doing quarries and equipment rental before. Most staff are inexperienced. Management is unbelievably poor and sporadic. Luck is the main component in their operation particularly in safety. There is very minimal support in safety efforts and the management's main objectives are profits and cost-saving measures.

    My Past and First Experience
The good thingsI've learned well on working under pressure and unsupervised by immediate head / supervisors. Not only focusing on worked but also taking care of my health by having a daily walking exercise early morning with my colleague before the working hour and had a recreation time every weekend. With good camaraderie with the people surrounds. My previous company served also as my second home and family.
The challengesThe challenges i had encounter before was being advised by my head to performed a tasked which i didn't know yet. I was clueless on what to do and where to ask. What I did was leave it all to prayer and performing the job plainly with doubts.
