    Technician Intern

Coworkers are a mixed bunch, the internship is paid and working inside the office is good but working in the warehouse is bad.
The good thingsInternship is paid. First few days of work were good. It was a desk job inside an air-conditioned office. Coworkers working inside said office are mature people who also work desk jobs. Said coworkers' boss working inside office is a chill person. I would recommend this company only if you are a college student desperate to pass your OJT subject since they'd accept literally all interns applying without question.
The challengesI'm a diligent Engineering student but HR assigned me to the "Engineering Department". Sounds good but is a dirty, poorly-ventilated warehouse full of mosquitoes. I was placed in said warehouse after some time and spent progressively more time there. Was lumped with people who are not college graduates with below-average salaries. Had a supervisor who is literally a blue collar worker. Another intern's supervisor is a high-ranking sales dept. employee and is an Engineering graduate. Felt like gender bias. Unpleasant coworkers in warehouse. They make unfunny jokes when I'm stressing out in a job I don't even like. One made an offensive career joke. Experience here did not make me "industry ready". It's even a liability. I got rejected by multiple companies since "my work experience is not related" or "internships don't count as work experience" I feel bitter that my university forced me to work here when I initially got an internship at another company that is better overall.

I love the nature of the job, hate the work environment and dissatisfied with how they handle the trainings.
The good thingsWork Life Balance is alright, once work hours are done, you won't be needing to think about work at the end of your shift. The work itself is nice as well if you like learning about computers and printers and troubleshooting.
The challengesTrainings management is disorganized and uncoordinated. Needs improvement in giving training to their new hires / trainees. Work environment and culture is very hierarchical. People will look down on you if your position is below them and devalue new hires.
