Generally Good People But Stressful Work CultureThe good things- Most people are friendly even outside of work
- Young and smart environment
- Not too stern management. Not strict when it comes to dress code
- Encourages everyone to speak up and do their best.
- Smart but not competitive workmates. You will learn a lot from them! In my opinion, this company is perfect for freshgrads.
- Has Friday game night!
The challenges- Low salary. Minimal increase after 6 months.
- No work-life balance
- Some bosses have toxic tendencies when it comes to giving feedback.
- Too much workload
- Lack of manpower
- HR department doesn't have a sense of urgency. You usually have to wait for a day or two (even weeks!) to get a response.
- Terrible equipment. You'll have to make do of slow, sometimes literally wrecked, laptops. Really not ideal for a fast-paced environment.
- Difficult to file for overtime (during my stay, we usually did overtime without pay)
- Sometimes you get asked to work over the weekend
- Some departments don't get recognized for a job well done. Usually, only people who face the clients get praised even if the project is a team effort. (I know this is not required but come on! Is it that hard to say "thank you"?)
