    Collins International Trading Corporation is a welcoming company and my experience has been great so far.
    The good thingsThe atmosphere in the workplace is very productive and encouraging. Our supervisors actively engage with us and give us tasks and responsibilities to do. Everyone has been welcoming since my starting day and is ready to accept me as a part of the team. This company is also very open when it comes to development and growth, and has a diverse population of employees.
    The challengesThe amount of workload is a bit of a challenge, but I do believe it gives us opportunity to learn more about the processes and the duties of an employee. Separation of roles also poses as a challenge, and I, as an intern, do think that it would've helped to have learned about the organizational structure before anything else.

    My experience with an appliance distributor company
    The good thingsAs a family-owned business, with both spouses managing the company, you do get 2 different directions. They distribute strong brands that has a good share of the market. They also have a good after sale service with service centers strategically located to cater on their area of stronghold. They cover almost all areas in the Philippines.They are a sister company of Abenson, Inc.
    The challengesWith Abenson, Inc. as their back-up store, majority of their marketing plans are on placement of their products and not on how to promote their products . Limited funds for promotion is allocated and this is mostly intended on who are already giving sales and not on prospective buyer/s.

    Work hard and be contented
    The good thingsLots of good people and you have a good working environment. People in high positions appreciated the efforts of their team. The President is a good person. Simple office but nice. Employees has good benefits especially discounts given by the company to its products when the employee wants to purchase a product.
    The challengesNeed to give your best and work hard to be able to promote and also the time you are in the company. Working days is until Saturday. Longer working hours on weekdays. Not too nice is the canteen area.
