Just don't do it, look somewhere else.
The good thingsNothing good. If you are looking for a good working environment, it is not here.
The challengesIf I listed all the challenges I went through in this company, it would exceed the word count. No incentives and bonuses. No career growth. No considerations to employees.

Overall, whether you're a newbie or tenured in the ESL industry, CDP will be a good company for you. The officers and managers are very helpful. Career advancement is possible as long as you always keep your best foot forward.
The good things1. Our CEO and the people you'll meet in the office are very nice and approachable. 2. Once the management sees and acknowledges your efforts, expect that opportunities will open for you. Promotion in CDP is not always based on seniority, but also on one's work attitude, perspective, and being a team player, among others. 3. Mostly WFH set-up. Some are hybrid, some are office-based. 4. Each account has its perks and rewards on top of one's basic salary. Speaking of which, the salary range is around average to high average compared to other ESL companies. 5. Normally, the work schedule is M-F, mid-shift. But there are some accounts with early shifts and rotating schedules. 6. HMO, Govt-mandated benefits, free consultation with the company physician, monthly performance awards
The challengesChallenges depend on the account one belongs to. Some accounts will challenge your endurance because of lesson demand. A few, you'll find it difficult to file for a leave. Nonetheless, you'll be able to take a break aside from the two-day weekend. I believe that no company is perfect and more or less, one will experience challenges not only in CDP but also in other companies.

I hope that this company will be recognize as "Great Place to Work".
The good thingsBy far, this is the company I'm looking for. Most of the employees here (HR, TLs, and supervisors) are very approachable, considerable, and professional. I'm a WFH tutor, and they make sure that you will not be left behind, even in training or team buildings. Yes, the salary is just around average, but they make sure that they reward and recognize the hard work of every employee here. Even the benefits are reasonable, and you will not usually find them in most ESL companies.
The challengesAs of now, I never experience any challenges since working with them is just so smooth.

Good for temporary work or for newbies only
The good things- Team Leaders are good and approachable. - The training is excellent and can definitely bring out the employees' best skills - Incentives are quite low but doable
The challenges- Salary is too low - They set high standards (having backup connection/power supply, maintaining 4.6 evaluation score, strict QA Evaluations) but the salary can't keep up - Client biased. They conduct surveys to reach out to their employees but they do no action. - The HR Department is so frustrating to deal with. They don't treat employees' concerns with urgency. They don't reach out to their employees to cater their concerns.

Great experience when you are passionate in teaching English to adult students
The good thingsThe intensive training will equip you to be ready in teaching Japanese students.
The challengesYou are not just a teacher here, you are a multi-tasking teacher. You record your own lessons and rename them according to the material, date, time and whether or not the recording is complete. You also have to update your attendance and send a screenshot to your TL. Although you have a fixed schedule you still need to inform your TL for your block of slots to open. You will also submit a report if the student is late or absent including his details, time of the lesson and if the studentb provided a skype account. You will also provide a screenshot of your buddy test call or your partner.

This company doesn't give value to its employees
The good thingsMy teammates were nice
The challengesSalary is very low, You only have 10 leaves in a year, the working hours is very late, there's no career growth and no room for promotion. You will get sick working here because even if you're sick, you can't even take a rest.

Chungdahm Philippines A good workplace to start one's Employment Career
The good thingsI enjoyed mostly everything. I learn a lot of things, since I was hired with nothing to offer them in regards with related experience. But I'm grateful that they saw my potential and they believed in me and to what I can offer them along the way. The superiors are nice and not toxic to be around. What I love the most is the 5 days work only, and some incentives that you are not informed on your first day but after some time, you couldn't help but be surprised that there is something like that. Surely this company is something that I can be proud that I once been part of and to brag mostly to the fresh graduates out there.
The challengesChallenges are inevitable. Mostly in my job. Every challenges are manageable.

if you want to jumpstart an Online Teaching Career
The good thingsIf you want to jumpstart a career in teaching English online, this might be the company for you.
The challengesYou will not be on probationary status on your first month of hiring, you will still be evaluated. You will also have the same load as the tenured tutors. They also lack proper training for tutors. As for taking sick leaves, it is up to them if your leave will be authorized or not.

    Not good for fresh graduates
The good thingsApproachable TLs but not AAMS and other highers up are not. Good working environment in the office.
The challengesNoStricit policies (2) Won’t allow you to take a leave even when you’re feeling sick (3) Too demanding and client-centered (4) Didn’t care about their employees’ mental health

    Don't waste time!
The good thingsThey just sounded nice and a good company at first. But, they're not.
The challengesLow opportunities Low salary Has too high standards to achieve incentives 5 leave credits and STRICT in approval. Even Vacation Leave has to show proof. IT'S NOT EASY TO REQUEST LEAVE. BASIC PAY IS ONLY 12,000 for HOMEBASED! Don't waste time... no work-life balance

The good thingsI guess the people would be the best reason to choose this company. You get to befriend most people, and the office is filled with mostly a very positive vibe.

    Think before shifting.
The good thingsThe good things are probably my coworkers. I like going to work because I have a good relationship with the whole team. It's also good that they have awards each month.
The challengesJust a recap of what you'll expect in this company: 1) Work-life balance will be gone, especially if you're under their "elite" account. Clients and the management will exhaust you until you are already stressed out. 2) LEAVE CREDITS You'll only get 5, and you will gain ONLY "one" additional leave each year. (This includes VL, SL and EL) 3) Management OM's, HR's and Upper management are hard to approach.

    My 6 year Chungdahm life
The good thingsMy bosses are pretty personable and easy to talk to. My co-workers are friendly and we get along well. We have a lot of fun during breaks by engaging in casual conversation, and generally the work environment is pretty amazing for a still budding company. The kind of work we do is quite easy, and as long as you have good grammar skills, you'll be able to get high grades, which lead to great employee evaluations and bonuses.
The challengesThe workload is quite heavy. The daily quota is much more than what the average employee can handle, and management expects everyone to finish it at the end of the week. Perks are limited, and there are no management efforts to keep employee morale positive or inspire camaraderie between teams and departments. Holiday work is also generally a forced thing that employees have to do without much incentives behind it.

Working for this company has helped me improve a lot about myself.
The good thingsThe employers are concerned about their employees' well being. They are also easy to talk to and they do their best to make their employees stay.
The challengesStress would be the number one thing that I did not enjoy in this company. Mastering different accounts is very difficult especially at the beginning.

    A dynamic work experience
The good thingsThe classes were dynamic and followed a good curriculum that was not solely textbook-based. The workplace was clean and comfortable, and there was opportunity for growth. The superiors were also very constructive and the working environment relatively stress-free.
The challengesThere were not many challenges working for this company. They had good compensation for the comparatively light workload. The company could better improve by providing bonuses or incentives for their employees, though.

Not for people who prioritize other things above work
The good thingsGreat coworkers, clean workplace, accessible location for those who are commuting or for those with cars. It's a good start for those who want to get their feet wet in online teaching.
The challengesThe management doesn't allow for emergencies. When I was working here, we were required to submit all sorts of proof to show we were truly sick, a co-worker went far as to take pictures while she was in the hospital. If you are absent for any reason/late for a consecutive number of times, you get a memo. Also, when I was here, the employees were not allowed to bring home/have a copy of the employee's manual showing the consequences of infractions, rules, etc. Rather suspicious, in my opinion, but that's just me.

    Good to Worst
The good things1. My supervisors are good mentors. They encourage you to excel and to always go beyond your limits. 2. The location is great because it is near my place.
The challenges1. I wish the work environment during overtime is better (e.g. with proper ventilation). 2. I wish there was work-life balance. 3. I wish the company's HR department improve. Being new to the position should not be an excuse to incompetency. 4. I hope this company can carefully follow those that are in the Labor Code.

    My Life at Chungdahm
The good thingsI enjoyed the company of awesome co employees who also became my friends. There were lots of improvement trainings. My boss was very nice. My supervisors never failed to support me. It was just a wonderful experience.
The challengesIt could have been more challenging if I was given the chance to handle more students. That way I could have improved my teaching skills more. My students were pleased with the help I gave them. I wasn't the best teacher around but I could have been better.

My First Job Out of College
The good thingsI am enjoyed the fact that I don't bring home assignments to check or test papers to review since I was bound to be a classroom teacher. The \"chillax\" way of work here is something good that I found here, but this shouldn't always be something that I have to look in a job.
The challengesFilipino holidays should be exercised by the company and of course the 6 months regularization should be applied here. It is really hard to juggle your way for a year long regularization and get 2 days leave for your year of faithfulness to the company.

    A great place to teach.
The good thingsThe boss gave us our own classrooms. All the schedules are updated and we have all the books we need to teach. Each classroom has laptops for teaching purposes. The academy is located in a prime location. So safety is really not a problem. Our boss also surprises us with snacks, dinners out of the office and even an awesome Christmas party. This company also follows the national holidays.
The challengesHonestly, there is really nothing here that I find challenging. I believe it is up to the people and your attitude. Other than the difficult commute in and out of BGC (for me, not sure for others) this company is fair. It's fun to work here.
