The good thingsThe work life balance for the role I had was great, the management truly listens and cares about employee feedback.
The challengesIt's a high performing company so you have to really keep up as well. But they provide various learning opportunities which is great.

    Employee well-being and career path
The good thingsCompany is very big on promoting employee well-being. Benefits are above average. There are many programs on health, medical, safety, work-life balance, etc. Work culture is also excellent. Employee network groups are also promoted to encourage employees to share common passion and interests.
The challengesOrganization structure is flat so it's a bit hard to climb up to the next job title level. If levelling up is within the career ladder, promotion can take a long time. Moving to other roles can also be difficult at times because of external factors (supervisor may or may not readily allow you to apply to your prospect roles if business need in current role is greater).

Chevron is one of the best international companies to work in.
The good thingsHighly skilled professionals and strong advocate of the safety culture.
The challengesChevron is an excellent company to work in. It takes care of its employees and the environment. Since it's a big company, there's still an opportunity to strengthen and have a more uniform processes across business segments and countries.

Management treat you as a robot. They care about the workload than employee's health.
    The good thingsBenefits. that's it.
The challengesLack of support system. TL and management don't know how to motivate their employees. Tons of workload. Sarcastic, rude and unprofessional. No breaks lunch, extended hrs w/o pay.

Your Work Is Stable but Your Career Is Stagnant
The good thingsGeneral focus on employee physical and mental safety. Some emphasis on training. Access to global learning resources. Industry is recession-resistant. Work-life balance is strongly maintained.
The challengesPerformance management system can be skewed, supposed checks and balances by HR and Leadership team do not kick in. Your movement is very slow (3-5 years before you move to the next pay grade - Php15,000~ difference between PSGs). Learning is mostly driven by internal requirements only - very limited push for employees to learn what's happening in the outside environment.

    We value safety!
The good thingsWe have good leaders/mentors here. We value integrity and high performance. We value safety here and that we have ergonomic workstations and process controls. We also have work from home option.
The challengesOpportunity to climb up to leadership role as the company's organization is too flat. Also, sometimes I feel the company is too focus on cost savings that we seldom have company wide activities. We also used to have a good medical coverage through Maxicare but slowly, some of the benefits are reduced.
