Very old school companyThe good thingsGood work ethic means working overtime (without pay) or working even when you are leave or restday. Yes, they will notice that you’re industrious and hard-working but they will expect the same level of “dedication” all the time. Its like, once they know that you are willing to do all those things for the company for free, it will become your obligation to show the same level of “dedication” forever.
The challengesSketchy policies regarding time-offs. Does not offer flexible work arrangements. You will feel their need to control every single thing, including personal employee affairs. Very restrictive and bureaucratic. Expect to be micro-managed. Email/formal comms is useless. “Follow-up” means that they expect you to remind them to do their job.
