    Hates their reporters
    The good things-There are a lot of skills and understandings that a reporter will learn about the media industry in general. -You get to learn about many industries in the economic sector. -If you have endless patience and manage to stay for a least a year, a lot of media opportunities await you.
    The challenges-The training is so unstructured and informal. Half of the time, you don't even know what you have to do. -The ins and outs of the a reporter's everyday task aren't explained at all. They will throw you out to the field without any knowledge of how they want you to do your work. -They don't explain and communicate the tasks for a reporter. -They make you pay for all travel expenses. -All your fellow reporters are miserable.

    Great experience for student interns!
    The good thingsBusinessWorld provides an excellent environment for learning. I got the opportunity to be a part of a very small team of the company's latest multimedia platform, SparkUp.ph. I get to immerse myself in all its departments (Editorial, Finance, HR, Circulation, & Marketing) and learned a lot. Socializing and interacting with everyone was never a problem. Also, they were so nice to be so cooperative with the series of interviews I did for my Strategic Marketing Management paper I produced when I was studying in university.
    The challengesWorkplace is so traditional–not a place that engages the minds and productivity of creative people.
