Exciting and challenging but there are times that I don't enjoy to work because of the monthly salary delay.
The good thingsWorking here is fun and challenging. My co-workers were friendly and you can easily gel with their system.
The challengesI did not enjoy about my work at the bureau is they don't prioritized the contract renewal of their Job Order Personnels. It takes 2-3 months upon approval of the contracts. And the monthly salary is always delayed.

This branch of government might be a bit stressful but provides good career development and growth when it comes to work ethics.
The good thingsThe employees in this branch of government are quite friendly and can be your mentors when it comes to career development. The work in the division I am working for matches the degree I attained so it's enjoyable.
The challengesWorking in this company can be quite stressful but a positive one. It certainly will challenge you and provide growth when it comes to decision making and work attitude. Many seniors will provide learnings.

Since I was an OJT back then, I don't have that much experience compared to others. To sum up my experience, it was just simple, fun and easy.
The good thingsI enjoyed working with people. I enjoyed exploring towards my communication skills.
The challengesSince BOC is a government company, we all know about people's interest of money. That is all I don't like and the hardest to deal with.

To say that it is fascinating is an understatement, the experience was enough to mould me as I advanced into my career.
The good thingsI was fortune enough to have experienced firsthand the different sides of the Bureau and interact within the organization. My duties were diversed and ever changing but it definitely given me a better understanding of my skill set and where my career may take me. It has taught me how to look at things at a bigger picture, from customs administrative orders just being simple orders to who and what affects its implementation and got the chance to participate helping in its construction. Also, it has given me the opportunity to become familiar with a wide range of scenarios that I might come across along the way as I make my way through my chosen field. Overall I can say that my experience as an intern made me confident in my abilities.
The challengesTime or more like the lack of it. I was under the impression that I would be working three days a week from 8:00 to 5:00, so that I have time for my classes and other commitments that I had being the Vice President of an organization. And my boss asked me if I can work longer hours so I worked from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm instead.

The good thingsMajority of job hunters think that employment in this institution is the answer to poverty.People look up to you as vip and its as though you hit the jackpot or has unearthed a treasure if you land a job here.
The challengesThe salary rate as government employee is far behind the private sector. Imagine occupying a supervisorial rank at the rate of P7,000.00 per month which is equal to a bank janitor. The only difference is, here you wear neckties and coats minus the mop.
