The good thingsBenefits are good, there are bonuses, and you can save a lot here since the cost of living is not that high
The challengesA lot of corporate politics that will trickle down, even to rank and file employees.

    Not ideal for fresh grads
The good things- a lot of nontaxable benefits - lax working environment - a lot of opportunities to excel
The challenges- heavy corporate politics, even in junior managerial level - lack of corporate policies and std procedures or inconsistent implementation for existing policies - too subjective

A good training ground / stepping stone to your next company.
The good thingsGiving you a supervisory position despite the fact that you're still a fresh graduate and board passer. The opportunity working as a supervisor on your first job is hard to pass on and is a great edge on applying for a better job. The benefits is also great specially the housing that they provide.
The challengesThe work at first is hard but time will give you the edge of coping up. The main concern is the hazards that surrounds the plant. The management must improve that to ensure the safety of its workers. The working environment is great because you have co-workers that understands their role and obligation, whether on the work itself or outside work. The only problem with this company is its direction specially with its employees. The HR can improve that with trainings and seminars, which for the meantime is not their priority. They should also increase the salary of their employees every 3-5 years to cope up with the inflation rate. Its been 4 years since our salary has been reconstructed.

    Process Engineering Supervisor
The good thingsBeing a process engineering supervisor in AFC has given me the needed experience to gain relevant skills and knowledge in my profession. Being in the process engineering section, it has given me the opportunity to work in an environment wherein I am able to practice and apply my Chemical engineering foundation. To be able to assess current designs and propose improvements to the process, its specifically a playground for individuals like me to gain relevant knowledge and experience.
The challengesThe challenges I have encountered so far are more focused entirely on the availability and adaptation of necessary process modeling programs and modeling softwares that can considerably hasten production output. taking into consideration, this can be understandable given that we are in a third world country. However, it is good that the company is taking initiative in adapting to the latest technologies while abiding with the rules and regulations set by the government.

    Worthwhile experience
The good thingsYou are being exposed to report to top management. You will have an opportunity to give an impact to the company by providing recommendations that will help improve company processes and internal controls.
The challengesThe challenge working in this company is to be able to adopt to the working environment. Being a fertilizer manufacturer, you have to adjust to important health and safety precautions and observe them religiously.

    Company Wide ERP Implementation
The good thingsI do had a great experience here. As an Industrial Engineer, I'd fully exercise my skills and able to implement a company wide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation. We do travel a lot nationwide Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Travelling experiences is fun. The year end bonuses surpasses other company's practices. Though depends on the Sales Performance of the company. 3-5 mo bonu.s
The challengesHighly Politically due to its Traditional management setting. Working with a different personnel on a wide range of ages brackets 18-50 up. Thus, management is a quite challenging.
