The protect their non teaching staff more than their teaching staff
The good thingsA few good avenues to grow. The schedules can be adjusted for your needs depending on the department chair. Some of the toxic staff is far from you so you wont need to find it as problematic.
The challengesThe HR dept. is very slow. The environment pushes for a standard that is in par with everyone else but the only main difference is the title which causes a very small wage. There is no insurance, health benefits for probationary staff and many professors already left because of it.

    As a College Instructor
The good thingsEmployees will feel secured because of the availability of security guards. Class schedules given to the instructors are not hectic, even if you're a part-timer.
The challengesThe base salary is not really attracting for experienced employees.

    Good
The good thingsTeaching students their aspired profession. If you plan to teach in the university permanently, I suggest you get a masteral degree so that you could have a higher salary. The facilities for faculty are top-notch. The faculty is very nice.
The challengesSometimes the work load is not equivalent to the compensation especially when you are loaded with different subjects to teach. Different subject means a separate preparation.

It has been a great learning experience working in the Ateneo Community because it felt like home.
The good thingsIt was a dynamic working environment. People coming from different backgrounds and age bracket made me more flexible and open-minded. I believe that it helped me become a better person by being more capable of engaging, understanding and respectful of others.
The challengesIt also made me aware of the things that I could help the community improve on. One thing is that, for every relationship to flourish, it is essential to have an open line of communication. It is this element that will help any community to develop and progress.

    It was awesome
The good thingsTeaching in the university was awesome. The people are good and also the students. The university always finds ways to make their employees happy. They give a lot of benefits like free education to their employees' children and for me that is awesome. I want to be a part of this university for the rest of my life. It was awesome working with them and I hope that I'll get another shot someday.
    The challengesNone. Everything was awesome.
