The best place to work in!
The good thingsThe facilities, the cafeteria, the bank facilities, the gym facilities, the training provided to staff for continuous learning, good work-life balance, and attendance in the office is on a flexi-time block. The insurance benefit is simply the best.
The challengesOpportunities for career growth are very limited. Positions are hybrid where the staff is forced to work two positions in every given assignment.

    Good pay
The good thingsGood pay for consultants. They pay according to your experience and market value. There are many good bosses but there are terrible ones like in other companies. As a consultant you get a chance to increase your daily rate after you finished your assignment with good reviews.
The challengesAvoid having a conflict with bosses as this will affect your future assignments by giving negative reviews, but they have a system in place to check the validity of the complaints and accusations against a consultant or employee.

Good training ground if you would like to experience working in a very big financial institution like ADB
The good thingsProjects Management, networking with different people from different divisions/departments
The challengeswork load, deadlines, no training; all work is done with very minimal supervision, and you have to find out yourself how to do things.

    Mixed Feelings
The good things1.) Plenty of useful amenities and services within the compound makes it more convenient for staff to go by their day-to-day needs. 2.) Beautiful offices and spacious work stations make it conducive for working. 3.) Plenty of workshops / training available for employees to choose from. 4.) Great benefits given to employees (i.e. free parking, employee loan, medical, retirement, etc.). 5.) Puts a premium on camaraderie (i.e team building, staff retreat, summer outing, Christmas parties, etc.).
The challenges1.) Seems like management has not kept up with more technological advances and does things using outdated software and processes. 2.) Lots of bureaucracy. 3.) Seems like there is no equal distribution of work per Unit. 4.) Little work/life balance for some Units.

    The Best Company
The good thingsLearned about the mission and purpose of the international organization. I missed all the supportive Professional staffs as well as the National officers and staffs. Best facilities, good cafeteria and easy access to all transportation mode.
The challengesYou must be able to adapt to a multicultural environment. You must learn how to handle or deal with more than 5 expatriates in one division as well as support to other regular staffs. This is a fast face environment.

    Diversity with limitless socioeconomic perspective
The good thingsI definitely enjoyed working in this as a contractor. Having a very international setting, the facilities are quite great, the cafeteria is splendid, the library was wonderful and the local of international staff were very accommodating. So much diversity with limitless perspectives during executive meetings.
The challengesThe most challenging part working on an in development company is the diverse culture, there are some customs or norms that you need to observe and delineate which are culturally acceptable or which are quite not accepted.

    Best work experience
The good thingsThe ambiance, the people i am working with. It's a company with the most intelligent and sensible personnel are. I am not a college graduate but I was able to worked here. Even if I am only earning enough to sustain my self needs, I can say that I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to be here.
The challengesThe only challenge for me working here is to be able to communicate to the different kind of boss that came from all over the countries. Nevertheless, my job as a printing assistant and a fax operator is very easy.

The good thingsPassion and enjoyment in working for the poor people of Asia. Employer did good due diligence, promote sustainable solutions for the growing Asia. The challenge of administering projects albeit the diversity of people is really amazing.
The challengesThere could be more travel in the work but of course budget could be an issue just like other organizations. People really should think outside the box but ADB with its great and talented people can always find a way.

The good thingsThe Bank takes good care of its staff. Provided opportunities for learning. It has a very good health and retirement plan. The salaries are higher than normal private companies.
The challengesIt would have been better if the bank continued to apply its good retirement plan to the incoming staff.

    High Standard of Working
The good thingsThe Executives are well educated, they treat the employees well and are very supportive. They give pointers and a pat in the back after a job well done. The Company is fair and just when it comes to benefits. The work place is very nice and conducive to working, very nice atmosphere.
The challengesThe job itself, its fast phase and detailed. Challenging in terms of using high technology. Everyday is always a challenge by doing great and being with professional people.
