Performing well for a Filipino-owned/local company
The good things- Professional people balanced with a family culture - Direct superiors/managers find ways to ensure their team members are rewarded commensurate to the performance of the team
The challenges- No standard rewards system thus some teams get the more rewards or perks versus other teams. - Merit System still need more improvements for it to be objective across the board

good for learning but very low salary
The good thingsGood for career growth. Workmates are friendly and very approachable when it comes to technical work.
The challengesThe salary is pretty low. You won't expect to get a higher salary even after a while. People just leave because of it.

    Growing in Consulting Firm
The good thingsYou will experience to try different kinds of Field of Civil Engineering. The people working there are nice and they have a sense of family. They offer good moral and Christ centered teaching. They offers good leadership training skills. Its academe linked. They'll offer you to do further studies esp in University of the Philippines.
The challengesThey are still adjusting to become a bigger company. Other benefits may not meet. Lower salary grade compare to any multinational company.

    Things are learned everyday
The good thingsI enjoyed working with my teammates. The Project-In-Charge in our team shares her knowledge and expertise.
The challengesOur team was sent to a huge project and yet we are only few staff to accomplish the inspections, report, and other related matters.

    Ever growing
The good thingsYou get to do actual work from start to finish unlike in other consultancy companies wherein one will be assigned to a small part of a whole design calculation process and do it repetitively. Here, you will have a chance to see the big picture and really learn from it (actually have a sense of ownership of the design).
The challengesSince it is ever growing, HR processes seems to be ever changing as well. Promotion is perceived to be arbitrary and based on the whims of your superior who won't want you to rise as a project manager (the soonest) or else you get to be a competitor for projects. The offices are also housed in at least 4 different rooms in 2 floors so moving around is a hassle.
