Overall good company to develop yourselfThe good thingsIn my job/position, I was not limited to only learning just my role but also was exposed to interdepartments which helped me be flexible and know/establish connections with other people (colleagues were good and sociable). Salary is also good and other benefits and perks (occasional product giveaways, pba tickets, merch). AMC is also very generous when it comes to trainings may it be local or abroad (been to other opcos for twice already).
The challengesBeing part of this specific continuous improvement program for years now, definitely common challenges were on implementation and trying to break the old alaska culture or influence tenured people especially on the line to change their mindset as they are strongly bonded by workers union. Work can be stressful which is pretty normal in any company, you just have to be with the right team/people to be able to manage.
