About the Role

We are seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer (Okta) to serve as the technical owner of IT operations, identity management, and endpoint security for high-growth, venture-backed technology clients.

In this role, you will own the IT environment end to end. You will be responsible for identity architecture, SaaS administration, endpoint compliance, and direct day-to-day user support. What ties this role together is automation: you are someone who looks at repeated, manual tasks and builds the workflow, script, or policy that eliminates them.

Key Responsibilities

1. Identity & Access Management (IAM)

• Architect, configure, and maintain production Okta environments.

• Integrate HRIS platforms (e.g., Rippling, HiBob, BambooHR, Gusto) as the authoritative source of truth for provisioning.

• Build custom single sign-on (SSO) integrations via SAML and OIDC, and configure SCIM provisioning for enterprise SaaS applications.

• Implement role-based access control (RBAC), birthright access rules, and robust MFA/authentication policies.

2. Workflow Automation & Scripting

• Build and maintain end-to-end Joiner, Mover, and Leaver (JML) processes using Okta Workflows and third-party APIs.

• Automate cross-platform operational tasks including device enrollment triggers, license reclamation, and access review reporting.

• Develop custom scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Bash against REST APIs when native workflow connectors do not suffice.

3. Endpoint Management & Security

• Manage and secure a fleet of macOS devices using modern MDM platforms (Kandji, Jamf, or Intune)—handling configuration baselines, zero-touch enrollment, and patch management.

• Deploy and administer modern EDR tooling (CrowdStrike Falcon): manage sensor rollout, prevention policies, host grouping, and exclusion management for engineering environments.

• Administer secure enterprise browser environments (e.g., Island Enterprise Browser or Chrome Enterprise) and associated data-loss prevention policies.

• Assist in incident mitigation by isolating endpoints and rapidly revoking compromised credentials.

4. Help Desk, Onboarding & Compliance Support

• Act as the primary, hands-on point of contact for day-to-day IT support across Slack and ticket queues (access requests, MFA resets, troubleshooting).

• Facilitate white-glove, day-one onboarding calls with new team members.

• Support audit readiness (SOC 2, ISO 27001) by pulling access reviews, verifying offboarding logs, and ensuring endpoint compliance.

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of overall IT Operations or Systems Administration experience, with at least 2+ years of hands-on production administration in Okta.

• Demonstrated experience building SAML, OIDC, and SCIM integrations from scratch (not just assigning pre-configured apps).

• Proven automation capability: Hands-on experience with Okta Workflows (or equivalent low-code automation tools) and practical scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) utilizing REST APIs.

• macOS Fleet Management expertise: Real-world administration with Kandji, Jamf, or Intune.

• EDR deployment experience: Familiarity with deploying and tuning endpoint security platforms like CrowdStrike Falcon.

• Strong communication skills: Fluent spoken and written English, comfortable leading 1-on-1 onboarding calls and writing concise incident notes.

• Autonomy: Ability to manage workload independently, make sensible operational decisions, and maintain clear ticket status tracking (Linear / Jira).

Nice to Have

• Experience working within an MSP, BPO, or multi-client IT environment.

• Relevant certifications: Okta Certified Administrator/Consultant, Jamf/Kandji certifications, or CrowdStrike CCFA.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code for identity (Okta Terraform or Pulumi provider).

• Familiarity with secure enterprise browsers (Island, Talon, Chrome Enterprise).

• Practical exposure to IT control evidence gathering for SOC 2 or ISO 27001 frameworks.

Must be willing to work Mon-Fri (10pm-7am Manila Time)
