Senior IT Network Engineer (Onsite - San Fernando, Pampanga)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Network Engineer to oversee, maintain, and optimize the company's network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and reliable connectivity across the organization. This role requires advanced technical knowledge in network engineering, infrastructure administration, network security, and incident management. The successful candidate will take ownership of complex network issues, implement infrastructure improvements, lead technical troubleshooting efforts, and ensure network operations meet business requirements and established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in a fast-paced BPO environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and optimize network infrastructure to ensure maximum availability, performance, security, and operational reliability.

• Lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex network issues involving LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, VLANs, routing, switching, and other network technologies.

• Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and related infrastructure.

• Implement network upgrades, configuration changes, firmware updates, security patches, and infrastructure enhancements.

• Proactively monitor network performance, identify potential vulnerabilities, and implement preventive measures to minimize service disruptions.

• Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams, configuration backups, technical documentation, and infrastructure records.

• Manage network security policies, access controls, firewall configurations, and compliance with IT standards and procedures.

• Conduct root cause analysis of recurring network incidents and implement long-term corrective and preventive solutions.

• Coordinate with IT personnel, external vendors, and service providers to address complex technical concerns and maintain service continuity.

• Lead network-related incident response, change management, scheduled maintenance, and infrastructure capacity planning.

• Provide technical guidance and support to junior IT personnel on network troubleshooting, administration, and best practices.

• Ensure network operations consistently meet established SLAs, security requirements, and organizational IT policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in network engineering, network administration, or IT infrastructure management.

• Demonstrated experience handling enterprise network infrastructure, complex troubleshooting, and network security administration.

• Advanced knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall technologies.

• CCNA certification is required; CCNP or other advanced networking certifications are highly preferred.

• Hands-on experience with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, or equivalent platforms.

• Experience managing network infrastructure in a BPO, IT services, or high-availability operational environment.

• Strong background in network security, infrastructure optimization, incident management, and root cause analysis.

• Ability to independently manage critical network issues, recommend technical improvements, and implement effective solutions.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.

• Ability to provide technical direction and guidance to IT support personnel.

• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to maintaining reliable IT operations.
