The Senior Software Engineer - Web (Software Engineer 3 - Web) leads the design, development, and optimization of complex web applications that support key business functions. This role plays a major part in solution planning, technical direction, and ensuring high-quality delivery across the SDLC. The Senior developer mentors junior and mid-level team members, provides guidance on best practices, and works closely with business stakeholders to understand goals and translate them into effective web solutions. This position requires strong technical depth, leadership maturity, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across the development team.

Other requirements include the following:

• Lead the architectural design and development of major system components or subsystems and high-impact technical initiatives.

• Define high-level technical designs and select appropriate architectural patterns (e.g., micro-frontends, services) for major strategic projects.

• Create, present, and maintain strategic technical roadmaps and feasibility studies for new product initiatives. Serve as the final technical reviewer/approver for major architectural changes and complex code merges.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to align the long-term technical roadmap with strategic business objectives.

• Architect and manage the evolution of deployment pipelines and infrastructure (in collaboration with DevOps). Ensure system reliability, high performance, and efficient resource utilization in production environments.

• Act as a formal and informal technical leader. Mentor Jr (Level 3) and Mid (Level4) developers on complex architectural concepts, engineering best practices, and career growth. Lead training sessions and knowledge transfers for advanced topics.

To succeed and grow in this role, you will be required to meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any other related course

• 5+ years of extensive experience in web development, specializing in leading system architecture, design, and implementation in a high-traffic or complex professional environment

• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., PHP, JavaScript, Java, Python, Swift) and web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js, Vue.js).

• Mastery of core web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and advanced responsive architecture.

• Expertise in at least one modern web framework (e.g., React, Vue, Angular), including knowledge of its underlying architecture, performance optimization strategies, and complex state management.

• Expert knowledge of full-stack architecture, including cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure), service design (microservices/serverless), database performance tuning, and robust security principles.

• Expertise using Git, advanced CI/CD setup, infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles, and contributing to DevOps maturity.

• Expert knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile/Scrum), and proven experience in defining technical standards and processes

• Preferably with people management experience
