Cybersecurity Officer

About the role

TradeX Network Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cybersecurity Officer to join our growing team in Pasay City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to play a critical role in protecting our organisation's digital assets, infrastructure, and sensitive data. As a Cybersecurity Officer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive security strategies that safeguard our systems against evolving cyber threats. This role is essential to maintaining the trust of our clients and stakeholders whilst ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and frameworks to protect the organisation's IT infrastructure and data

• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in systems and networks

• Monitor and analyse security logs, alerts, and incidents to detect suspicious activities and respond to security breaches promptly

• Manage security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and encryption solutions

• Design and oversee the implementation of security controls and measures across all IT systems and applications

• Investigate security incidents, document findings, and provide recommendations for remediation and prevention

• Conduct security awareness training and educational programmes for employees to promote a strong security culture

• Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards, and industry frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and local data protection laws

• Collaborate with IT teams and management to address security concerns and implement security enhancements

• Stay updated with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends to continuously improve the organisation's security posture

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security roles

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices including ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and CIS Controls

• Proficiency with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions

• Experience in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and security audits

• Solid understanding of network infrastructure, operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), and enterprise applications

• Knowledge of encryption protocols, authentication mechanisms, and data protection methodologies

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex security issues

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical security concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Relevant security certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable

• Experience with incident response and management is advantageous

• Familiarity with cloud security and containerisation technologies would strengthen your application
