YOUR ROLE: LEAD PROJECTS FROM VISION TO DELIVERY

As a Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of customer projects as part of the global delivery team, reporting directly to the Head of PMO.

You will lead projects from preparation through implementation, coordinating operational and technical support across multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful delivery within agreed scope, schedule, and budget.

This is an opportunity to combine strategic project oversight with hands-on execution, stakeholder management, and customer engagement. You will connect business objectives with technical solutions, manage competing priorities, and champion continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

We are looking for a project leader with at least five years of experience in software development project delivery, including three or more years of proven experience managing complex projects. Exposure to banking or financial services projects is highly desirable, along with hands-on experience using Waterfall methodologies and/or hybrid Agile-Waterfall project environments.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead End-to-End Project Delivery

  • Plan, manage, and deliver technical projects from initiation through closure, ensuring alignment with agreed objectives, scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Coordinate engineering, quality assurance, product, customer success, and operations teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

  • Translate business requirements into actionable technical tasks, ensuring effective communication between technical teams and stakeholders.

  • Maintain a hands-on approach to project execution, customer engagement, negotiations, and delivery management.

Drive Project Governance and Risk Management

  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, developing appropriate mitigation strategies to keep delivery on track.

  • Lead regular project status meetings and prepare progress reports for leadership, including Steering Committee meetings.

  • Protect agreed project scope by implementing established change-control processes.

  • Provide clear and comprehensive internal and external project reports covering on-time delivery, budget, profit and loss (P&L), and Net Promoter Score (NPS).

Build Strong Customer and Stakeholder Relationships

  • Serve as a key connection between technical teams, business stakeholders, and customers to ensure shared understanding of project requirements and objectives.

  • Lead the contracting process with customers who have selected the organization as their preferred vendor.

  • Apply strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills to support successful project agreements and delivery outcomes.

Champion Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve project management processes, tools, and ways of working.

  • Promote collaboration, transparency, accountability, and effective communication across multidisciplinary and international teams.

  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, operational efficiency, and reliable project delivery.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

We are looking for an experienced, solutions-oriented project leader who can navigate complexity, build strong working relationships, and consistently deliver results.

Education and Professional Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

  • At least five years of experience working on software development projects, including three or more years managing complex projects.

  • Experience in banking or financial services projects is highly valued.

  • A demonstrated track record of delivering projects within agreed scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Hands-on experience with Waterfall, Agile, and/or Hybrid development methodologies, with particular relevance to Waterfall and hybrid Agile-Waterfall environments.

Project Management and Leadership Skills

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and competing requests effectively, including the capacity to manage two projects simultaneously.

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • The confidence to identify, raise, and champion difficult issues when necessary.

  • An open, transparent communication style that builds trust and promotes accountability.

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Certifications and Additional Requirements

  • Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum are an advantage.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% annually, subject to applicable travel restrictions.
