Senior Databricks Security Engineer

What we're looking for

• 5+ years in cloud security, data security, or security engineering.

• 2+ years of deep hands-on Databricks experience in a production enterprise environment.

• Proven expertise with Databricks security architecture, including Unity Catalog, workspace security, and credential management

• Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Deep understanding of data security concepts, including encryption, data masking, and access control frameworks

• Experience with security compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements in enterprise environments

• Proficiency with security tools and technologies such as SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and identity and access management (IAM) systems

• Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, SQL, or similar languages to automate security tasks

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail

• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or AWS Security Specialty are highly desirable

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools and DevSecOps practices is preferred
