Assemco is seeking a highly driven and hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to take ownership of our warehouse and despatch operations within our fabrication division [AssasCo], lead a direct report, and ensure customer orders are delivered accurately and on time.

This is not a role for someone who wants to simply maintain the status quo.

We're looking for a leader who can stay ahead of the workload, drive productivity, improve systems, maintain warehouse accuracy and create a culture of accountability and performance.

About the Role

As Warehouse Team Leader, you will be responsible for the daily coordination of warehouse, inventory, assembly verification, pick & pack and despatch operations.

You will lead and support an Assembler/Pick N Pack Assistant while ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently, quality standards are maintained and overdue orders are kept to an absolute minimum.

Success in this role means staying ahead of the game, identifying bottlenecks before they become problems and continually looking for ways to improve efficiency and service delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and managing day-to-day warehouse and despatch operations.

• Supervising, coaching and motivating one direct report.

• Ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time.

• Maintaining a minimum throughput of 50 line items dispatched per day whilst striving for higher performance.

• Monitoring and reducing overdue customer orders.

• Maintaining warehouse organisation and storage location accuracy.

• Managing inventory integrity and stock accuracy.

• Completing and overseeing production system transactions.

• Conducting final quality checks on assembled products before delivery.

• Operating forklifts and assisting with warehouse activities as required.

• Driving continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.

• Working closely with Production and Management to support business objectives.

Essential Requirements

• Current Forklift License.

• Mechanical assembly experience using hand and air tools.

• Experience in warehousing, inventory control and despatch operations.

• Previous leadership, supervisory or team coordination experience.

• Strong computer and system skills.

• Experience using ERP, MRP or warehouse management systems.

• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

• Strong communication and people management skills.

• Current Australian Driver License.

• Manufacturing or fabrication industry experience.

• Experience implementing warehouse or process improvement initiatives.

• Stock control and inventory management experience.

• Consents to pre-employment medical check and provided current national police check report.
