UI/UX Designer

About the role

We are hiring a UI/UX Designer with 3+ years of experience to design workflows across a suite of B2B SaaS apps in healthcare credentialing and compliance. You will join product and engineering teams to research user needs, design and test solutions, and ship clear, accessible screens.

This role has extra focus on two things: grounding design in UX research, and working with AI, both as a tool in your own design process and as a subject you design for (AI-assisted workflows, human review of AI output, AI insights shown to users).

What you'll do:

UX research

• Plan and run user interviews, contextual inquiry and usability tests with operations, compliance and admin users.

• Map current workflows and pain points with journey maps, task flows and service blueprints.

• Synthesize findings into clear insights, personas and design recommendations the team can act on.

• Use analytics, support tickets and stakeholder input to validate problems before designing solutions.

• Test prototypes early and iterate based on evidence, not opinion.

UI and interaction design

• Design multi-step workflows such as onboarding wizards, review queues, match-resolution flows and approve/decline decisions, including empty, error and loading states.

• Design data-dense views like tables, filters, dashboards and reports.

• Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes in Figma.

• Follow and contribute to the design system and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA).

Collaboration

• Work in sprints with product owners and engineers, tracking design tasks in Jira.

• Prepare developer handoff that explains behavior, states and edge cases.

• Review built screens with QA and engineers to make sure the result matches the design.

AI in design and AI workflows

• AI is part of how this team designs, and part of what it designs.

Using AI tools in your design process

• Use AI tools to speed up research, ideation, copywriting and prototyping.

• Review AI output critically before using it.

Designing for AI workflows

• Design AI-powered features where users can review, confirm or correct AI results.

• Present AI content clearly so users understand and trust it.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a UI/UX or Product Designer, ideally on web apps or B2B SaaS.

• A portfolio with at least one case study showing your research process: what you learned, how it shaped the design, and the outcome.

• Hands-on experience with UX research methods: interviews, usability testing, surveys and synthesis.

• Practical experience using AI tools in your design work, with examples you can walk us through.

• Interest in, or experience with, designing AI-powered features and workflows.

• Strong Figma skills: auto layout, components, variants and prototyping.

• Solid grasp of interaction design, information architecture and accessibility basics.

• Clear communication: you can explain design decisions to product, engineering and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, credentialing, compliance, fintech or other regulated domains.

• Designed a human-in-the-loop AI feature (review queues, confidence indicators, explainability).

• Basic HTML, CSS or React to prototype in code.

• Experience with MUI or a similar React component library.

• Experience with research tools.
