IT Assistant

About the role

JFE Engineering Corp. Philippine Branch is seeking an IT Assistant to join our dynamic Information and Communication Technology team. This is a contract position based in Pasig City, Metro Manila. As an IT Assistant, you will provide essential support to our network engineering operations, ensuring systems are maintained, monitored and optimised to support business continuity. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of our IT infrastructure and supporting the technical needs of our organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to helpdesk tickets and provide assistance to daily concerns of the users.

• set up networking devices such as routers, firewall, printer, CCTV, and others.

• Set up PC and Server users account and access.

• Maintain servers and backup daily operation.

• Manage hardware and software installation and troubleshooting.

• Provide assistance to project site users and project IT network systems.

• Perform inventory and IT documentation.

• Provide assistance to HQ projects and requests.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.

• 3-5 years' experience in IT support or technical support.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Strong knowledge in hardware and software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Knowledgeable in active directory, Windows server, Microsoft 365, and network system maintenance and configuration.

• Knowledgeable in ticketing system. Able to support daily concerns of users.

• IT certification is an advantage but not required.
