Delivery Truck Driver - Power Tools Plus, Forbes

Join our team at Power Tools Plus, a leading business in Central West NSW, as a full-time Delivery Truck Driver. Based in Forbes and reporting to the Branch Manager, this role is integral to our operations, involving the delivery of steel orders and bulky items to a diverse customer base across urban and rural areas. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely delivery and providing exceptional customer service, both on the road and in-store.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate long distance & multi drop delivery runs in collaboration with the Steel Manager.

• Safely load, restrain and unload steel and bulky goods using forklift and Hiab

• Comply with Chain of Responsibility and fatigue management requirements

• Complete delivery paperwork and represent the business professionally on site

• Pick and prepare orders, maintain the steel yard, and assist in-store when not on the road

• Maintain the steel shed and yard to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.

• Assist customers in locating merchandise and making purchasing decisions

• Process transactions accurately using our point-of-sale (POS) system

Requirements:

• Current MR Licence with a clean driving record, plus Forklift Licence

• Truck driving experience, ideally regional or long distance

• Sound knowledge of load restraint and able to perform regular manual handling

• Able to work long days and every second Saturday morning

• Reliable, independent and customer-focused

Preferred:

• HR Licence and Hiab/loader crane experience

• Experience in steel, trade or rural supply
